does anyone here take antipsychotics and still able to stay lean?
It's very possible but you gotta watch your calories and actually exercise. Also the newer ones (including some that are available as generics) have far less weight gain. There's no magic mechanism by which they make you fat
>>77585425I am dropping my anti-psychotics given for schizophrenia because they tanked my test levels to 2.1 ng/mL. And yes, they made me fat. It was risperidone+trihexyphenidyl hydrochloride .
>>77585547I actually don't have voices in my head. Intrusive thoughts, yes but that's most likely due to OCD which is what I should've been treated for.
>>77585466everytime i try to quit and say a clean as fuck diet and rigorous exercise will save me it hasnt worked. i will keep trying though
>>77585704My biggest issue is insomnia(likely induced from severe anxiety). For that I am willing to take meds. The anti-psychotics thoughts were pointless and have done me great harm. I switched psychiatrists, and the new one said they'll taper me off of anti-psychotics and help me with my sleep.
>>77585425Are those meds 300 calories a pill? Because if they aren't, there's really no excuse buddy.
>>77585714Some of them alter how insulin operates
