Fuck I hate the first 72 hours.
I am at around 46 hours and this is always the worst part.
I am thinking about doing 10 or 15 days this time. My longest was 44 and that was a bit hard on the body.
Pic absolutely related.

I only do single-day fasts now and rely on molecules like calorie restriction mimetics, mitophagy enhancers, and senolytics to mimic the benefits of going longer without losing muscle.
>>
I fast by increasing the fast length in 1 hour increments. Ill do 24 hours, then 25 hours, then 26 hours, etc. Im in the middle of 104 hours of fasting rn, eventually I'll get to 365 hours which seems like a pretty good goal.
>>
>>77589435
Some how that is more schizo than just not eating for 20 days at random. Are you ok anon?
>>
>>77589443
Its just to make it easier. How many people actually fast for 20 days out of the blue? But if you've completed 19 day fasts, 18 day fasts, 17 day fasts etc its not too far of a shot
>>
>>77589497
I am thinking more about recovery time in between. I mean I lose almost an lb a day fasting and it takes much longer to regain any. So it's a huge build up. I mean that might take years to get to 20 days. But doing 20 days now you can just do it.

Not to mention the whole "first 72 hours suck" thing. I would rather do 2 or 3 big fasts a year 10 short ones.
>>
>>77589422
Don't worry I'm sure you'll die eventually we all do.
>>
>>77589592
You don't sound like you're fat, I always found it weird when skinny people fast, they dont have any of the many problems that fat people do that fasting helps alleviate like joint pressure, sleep apnea, inflammation, etc
>>
I fast from 8 am to 6 or 7 pm
How do I extend my fasting to multiple days
>>77589843
Skinny people do it for a multitude of reasons
>>
>>77589422
>My longest was 44
What was you starting weight when you started that one?
>>
>>77589843
Yeah I only fast a few times a year when I see some un wanted pudge. I am not fat but you can often slim down.
>>
>>77590329
So I was about 170 and change, and I finished at 120 and change. One I accounted for hydration, and the weight of food in vs not in the guy it worked out to right at an LB a day.
>>
>>77589846
See OP.
You just have to get through the first 3ish days then you stop having a lot of hunger pains. It's like getting sober, just have to keep yourself busy for the hard days.
>>
>>77590420
why would you want to be 120? wtf are you 4 foot high?
I find it hard to believe ppl actually go anything over 30 days
most I've done is 10
>>
>>77590420
wow
how did you handle the refeed?
>>
>>77590504
It was a fast for religious reasons. I didn't want to be 120.

>>77590537
Honestly... Just kind of eat some chilli and Greek yogurt for the first two days... Then went back to eating normally but a lot less after that, I was scared of refeeding but it wasn't an issue.
>>
>>77590715
what religion requires a 40 day fast?
Is it for Lent? I thought that was just abstaining from a particular food type only like chocolate or meat or whatever
>>
>>77589422
that's me af
>>
>>77590847
Lent fasting can be what ever you need it to be. It isn't required.
>>
>>77589422
That is bad ass OP.
I'm thinking about going on a fast until Thanksgiving, but knowing my family they always get scared when undertaking such a feat.
>>
Are there even any physical benefits to fasting for much longer than 72 hours?
>>
>>77591109
Thanks! And you should fast if you feel like doing it. I'd start eating a while before the big meal though.
My family and friends all questioned me on why and how I was doing it. Just reassure them and you should be fine.
>>77591119
Other than rapid weight loss I don't think so, I know it can help with root causes of diabetes also, but I ain't no doctor.
>>
Fug. Day 4 is going no better. 93 hours down, 243 left to go.

fasting more than 24 hours is a bible meme and unhealthy
>>
>>77593128
Because we as a species always had food readily available in large quantities 24/7 right?

eat berries
>>
It always freaks me out.
The hunger goes away but the shits don't.

All liquid diet and your body emptying out.

>>77593128
Good. If it biblical it isn't done for health.
>>
>>77589422
From my experience head tension comes from low electrolytes, which will be the first bad experience on the fast. I also hit a rough spot at around 46 hours. Out of nowhere my head was spinning and I wanted to vomit. But now I believe that these are parasites dying and releasing poison as they do. Hit them with antiparasitics/paraguard/black walnut tincture as now they're weakened. Prepare for the symptomsto get worse though.
>>
>>77593249
Nah, this is a short one. Zero calorie Gatorade and daily vitamins are enough to keep me going.
>>
>>77593251
eating vitamins on a fast always makes me queasy as fuck
