see how their comments are full of life and enthusiasm for how the waldorf (hardware) sounds. they have a soul. they're not musical sociopaths. while anons are dull as shit and don't appreciate the sound of hardware synths compared to VSTs. you're not talented music artists/producers and you're not going to be.
the DSP emulations don't have much lasting appeal, they're pretty niche VSTs. you get some initial rush from thinking you found a cheat code like you're neo in the matrix and you took the red pill so you can save a few hundred bucks by using a VST instead of a hardware synth. but then the defenders don't write flourishing poetry like the hardware enjoyers, they write like edgy 14 year old virgin nerds who want to bully people into thinking that the VST must be exactly as good as the hardware because it runs the same algorithms. well guess what, a sound taken directly from an algorithm that only exists in a vacuum, is not very musically interesting, any kid with a computer can get similar sounds. the professionals are still using a lot of hardware and elaborate software emulations of hardware to introduce "imperfections" in the sound, even if it's incredibly subtle to most 14 year old kids who listen with airpods or whatever, it affects most people's enjoyment of the music on some level.
i know this guy is either baiting or unironically drooling on his keyboard levels of down syndrome but man I have really been enjoying having access to all sorts of great emulations, physical modelling synths, etc of stuff i know ill never buy. On a similar side note, I was looking into some gear recently and was reminded of a particular brand of midi controllers. they are charging $300 for something I could make myself for 1/4th or less the price. I rarely buy gear because they scam the fuck out of rightbrain creative types that have no idea how dirt cheap jelly bean parts are.
>>108877639you are absolutely deplorable through and through and you will never be successful. successful people invest millions of dollars or however much they can afford into their studios because it's their passion. while you have some cynical cheapskate attitude that will leave you alone in your misery. as soon as you made even $1000 off of music, you could reinvest that into one or several pieces of gear, buy parts to build your own gear or whatever. you owe it to your audience to make the best music that you have the means to. but you have something pathologically wrong with your brain so you probably don't identify with those rightbrain creative types, you're not a musical genius yet you think you're in a position to talk like you're hot shit and you've got everything figured out. you're literally stupid to the point where i've had to rethink my world view so that even in first world countries there are huge masses of the population who behave like animalistic third worlders who can't be held to the same moral standards of how a normal person has been depicted in tv shows and movies and such as a socially competent and reasonable person. even when people are depicted as being unintelligent or making self-deprecating jokes, they're intelligent and self-aware enough to pretend and make jokes, they're not actually the ugly/disabled/criminal type of unironically unintelligent.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNDh7d4FoK4the guys at the top of their game like metro boomin and mike dean literally use analog gear like synths and an SSL console and anons think this has nothing to do with their success, anons have no appreciation of how it's like the mona lisa of sound, fucking straight up retards
