It did well for their first consumer gpu from a company started just 5 years ago.

/g/ has been crying for years that there are only two competitors for cpu or gpu, here is your third. This is good for consumers.

It doesn't support CUDA so it's fucking useless. If you need a cheap GPU for gaming only you'd just get a used GTX 1060 or RX 480.

I'll start caring when it has open source Linux driver like AMD.

this is what I wanna know, too
if it does and they make cheaper models I'll buy one

Didn't intel GPUs already have issues with older games because they didn't have decades of patching done? And some issues with getting VRR to work fine?
How are these random chinese GPUs going to achieve all these random gimmicks? Do they even give a fuck about latency? HDR? custom profiles? Overclocking/undervolting? Upscaling tech?
>>
>>108868642
I would buy it just for the chance to see Nvidia go down in flames and Jensen Huang offing himself
>>
>>108868642
I will definitely buy one, but in a year or two, when the drivers are better and if the price is lower. They will never be anything more than toys without CUDA or ROCm, but as a toy, why not.

I have a feeling it's going to be like Intel GPUS and have lackluster performance that'll make it underperform in recently released games for a unreasonable price

>Micron refused to make more ram fabs to keep up with consumer.
>Samsung refused to make more ram fabs to keep up with consumers.
>China plans to solo the entire market for anything electronic using ram (virtually everything).
>America still fighting over oil in the middle east for cars, roads for car, and one of many power sources.
Unironically yes. The US's economy boomed because it sold a lot of its resources to the world in the middle of a world war for the most part before joining in. It may not be as much as that, but ram goes into everything and everything making consumer ram just quit. It's concerning. Our government is still worried about israel and fucking oil while Sam Altman just rose the price of ram by +400%. Think carefully about what that means. Everything that uses ram has gone up. What are things that uses ram? Even just a little bit of it? It's a lot.
>>
It's the same shit as AMD

People want Chinese GPUs to appear because they want it to lower the price of Nvidia GPUs

Gamers want a competitor to Nvidia but they don't want to buy anything else but Nvidia.

They are abandoning consumer supply lines for the same reason european car makers are abandoning supply chains, i have accepted most of mankind is retarded and truth will only receive insults or attacks.

Long term story short, up until 1971 the world monetary system operated on a gold standard as base layer as such money supply expanded very little every year like 2% at most so everything was cheap, after that the fiat standard up until 2008 based on the dollar saw the usa duplicating minimum wage every decade.

Right now minimum wage in burgerland is same as 2008 by those same standards that were worse than the pre 1971 standard us minimum wage would be around 50 today and that is based on fiat currency standards that the world operated between 1971-2008.

As infaltion devours the consumer the companies redirect their supply chains to governments and militaries it's not because sam altman, it's because there is no longer a consumer market because wages have not gone up for inflation in decades and with population no longer rising that much even organic growth is no longer here.

Everything else is cope and i can understand why people may rather cope insulting sam altman, accepting our civilization is in total decay is hard.

I love how the west keeps pushing the idea that china wants to invade taiwan because of GPUs fabs.

And then China just started making their own chips.

What new excuse will israel golem find now to go to war with China?
