Opinions?
>>
>>108873165
is it FOSS?
>>
>>108873571
Vivaldi is a decent web browser, so no, it's not FOSS.

I just switched to Vivaldi yesterday. What a nice treat.
>>
>>108873165
I've been using it for years and already have my layout set how I want it. I don't understand this stupid trend of setting a background on your browser, as if it's not going to be displaying webpages all the time. Also this horrid shit with transparent windows that came out of apple's liquid ass.
>>
>>108873571
Is your scam browser deterministic and reproducible? Then it's not FOSS either.
>>
>>108874334
It's compiled from source
>>
>>108874345
It's not the same binary that you can download from their website. It is not open source.
>>
>>108873165
Jeeted
>>
>>108874430
Doesn't sound like a me problem. I don't run random binaries.

My genuine reaction to this information
#tabs-tabbar-container.top{padding-top:0px!important;}
>>
>>108874679
Doesn't sound like you know what open source means, or that you have any arguments. brave is only open source as far as marketing goes.
>>
>>108874763
I use Firefox and LibreWolf, retardkun
>>
>>108874797
Firefox is reproducible, has been for some time, dunning-kruger-lad.
>>
Just came to this board to see how to get rid of the hideous outlines on stacked tabs.

Who are you even arguing with

Why are you such an anal-retentive fuckup?

>Opinions?
it's relying on the chrome web store. why not just use chromium?
>>
>>108873165
whats the point of vivaldi when brave exists?
>>
>muh FOSS
yet Stoat is fucking garbage
>>
>oh the theme based chromium engine
>>
>>08873590
no it is FOSS because
>just a cheap fucking copy of zen browser
>prob uses google
>imagine still using goygleslop

Fastest chrome browser

>>
>>108875608
You will end up using your usual firefox trust me.
>>
>>108875631
Firefox has poor hw acceleration. We're talking 40-60% slower than Vivaldi.

>The extensions?
Does vivaldi have extensions?
>>
>>108875667
That score is with extensions. Without its even higher.
>>
>>108875667

Helium Broswer just werks, no need for anything else
>>
i hate this browser so much everything is buried in a stupid menu and extra click away
>>
>>108873165
I dislike the "unified" UI change they're making. I'd much rather have the layered/segmented look it has now.

Brave is the best internet browser.

It's a bug.
The browser tries to convert your old setup in the new "format", but it generates that white outline on stacked tabs. Who knows why.

You have to manually change layout and re-create your setup from scratch. Took me 2 minutes and I use a quite unusual layout.
No need to change theme/colors, it's going to inherit your old ones. But you'll lose custom website-tabs in the sidebar, so write them down in a note or something.
>>
>>108877911
I haven't updoooted yet because I saw some nasty bugs that will get fixed in the next release, but I'm *hoping* I can finally put the tab bar below the address bar.
p.s. I use native window decorations on linux.
>>
>>108873165
better than the cryptobrowser. but still has the "power user clutter" that I don't like
>>
I would love Vivaldi if it wasn't bundled with a bunch of other crap.
>that new UI design
Garbage. It doesn't even make contextual sense.
>>108875878
Holly shit glitterboy alert!
>>
>>108879245
I stole that screenshot from their discord
>>
>>108878879
