You can rip out the rivets just fine even without any screws and install a new keyboard quite comfortably within 60-90 minutes. The problem with Apple is that you get locked into their abysmal ecosystem and Macbooks in particular are extremely restrictive with you can actually do on them. I would always recommend a $600 Lenovo over any Macbook.
