Apple actually released a pair of IEMs in 2008.
I never saw anyone use them so I'm not sure if they sold that well or if they even sounded good.
Although given the 2007 earbuds sound quality, I'm sure it was an upgrade, since even my Skullcandy Ink'd was a step up that I had at the time.
