They cost as much as a used car, require a dedicated power plant to run, and the drivers are essentially rootkits that phone home every time you open a game.I’m genuinely considering liquidating my battlestation and moving to a ThinkPad running OpenBSD. At least then I can sleep knowing my GPU isn't mining crypto for the board of directors while I'm "idling."What are you actually using your hardware for? If it’s just LLMs and diffusion models, why are you still paying for consumer-grade proprietary drivers? Prove to me that modern hardware isn't just a scam for people with too much disposable income.
