I managed to cut down from 20+ extensions to only 16. But I feel I need even less. Like maybe GreaseMonkey script alternatives? Also post your browser add-ons too I guess.

No need to block Google Ai if you just don't use Jewgle Search.
>>
>>108878964
You don't need Decentraleyes and Privacy Badger if you use Ublock
>>
Reminder that having extensions makes it easier for websites to fingerprint you. If you care about that you would only be using 2 (or three at the most) extensions. Ublock origin of course + whatever helps your workflow the most. Ideally you just use ublock origin

That's kind of like using Windows after 2015.

There's no need for that, one of the default uBO lists disables AI shit.

This is how I think these days:
>if you can't fix it through the website itself, install uBlock Origin (supports basic styles/CSS also)
>if you can't fix it with uBlock Origin, install Violentmonkey (user scripts and wider style manipulation)
>if you can't fix it with Violentmonkey, replace Violentmonkey with FireMonkey (user scripts and user styles)
>>
>>108878964
I like you OP. A few questions and suggestions though.

>Have you tried Enhancer for Youtube? I think I prefer it over other YouTube control panels, but I haven't tried that many.
>Have you tried BlockTube? It's a bit dysfunctional due to Youtube's constant UI changes, but still worth keeping in mind.
>You could use Libredirect or Redirector as a general redirection extension instead of XCancel. They're easy to use once you get used to them.
>Why Dark Background & Light Text over Dark Reader? I don't have an opinion either way, just curious.

I'll look into my own extensions once I get back to my desk and post more if anything comes up.
>>
>>108879398
thanks, will use ubo for that.
>>
>>108879360
Anon, many sites are straight up unusable without significant modification through extensions.

Stop being lazy.

You don't even need CanvasBlocker.

OP here
>Enhancer for Youtube
Ya I tried it. Was too much of a resource hog for my machine.
>BlockTube
Use case for blocking Youtube?
> Libredirect or Redirector
Tried both. Barely use any of the sites they redirect. Just use Xcancel for the 1000's of twitter links posted on /g/
>Dark Background & Light Text over Dark Reader?
Dark Reader broke some sites I use. Both work fine otherwise.

I use a lot of extensions and userscripts with Violentmonkey

>Use case for blocking Youtube?
BlockTube doesn't block YouTube, it blocks individual channels and/or videos. And it has other functions like hiding shorts, auto-generated playlists, already watched videos etc.

Of course, like I said, it's not the most functional addon because YouTube won't stop changing the UI and breaking it. Even so it's decent.

>Dark Reader broke some sites I use.
Yeah, I think that's down to the dynamic filtering Dark Reader uses by default, combined with certain privacy & security focused browser settings (at least on Firefox). If you change it to static, it works fine on every website (at least insofar as I've tested). But static filtering looks a bit worse than dynamic.

I only recognize the following, from left to right, skipping over unknowns:

Imagus
Redirector
YouTube Anti Translate
Violentmonkey
TWP - Translate Web Pages [?]
Stylus
uBlock Origin

Several others look familiar, but I don't remember their exact names.

The year is 2026, people still use addons like PrivacyBadger with uBO which makes them work less efficiently.
At least read the fucking description/manual of the extension you're installin, uBO replaces all other tracker/ad/whatever blocking Addons, and using them with it hinders the efficiency of both.

One of my favorite memes is when someone installs every adblocker and privacy extension they can find all at once.

I am genuinely curious though, are there any privacy extensions that actually complement uBO instead of hindering it?
>>
>>108880052
Maybe something against font fingerprinting when you need JS, even "hardened" firefox still exposes dozens of uncommon fonts. Is it really that fucking hard to hardcode a few open fonts, ship them for linux builds and only use those?
But otherwise I doubt it and especially not arkenfox shit
>you don't need resist fingerprinting BRO just use the weaker shit that le breaks less websites
>>
>>108880052
>>108880080
Actually just increasing your filter and using stuff like this >>108879575 is the only "Extra" thinjg you could do.
>>
I think I could even remove Port Authority, coz the only site where it's hit a port scanner was mega.
>>
>>108880161
We actually had a thread about that not long ago. uBO has a list that replaces Port Authority (the extension's creator said so himself, he created Port Authority before that list existed). It's called "Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN" and you can find it under Privacy.

Absolute retards using so much trash with uBO.
Lean how to click the uBO icon and go into the Dashboard then enable aditional filters.
You can also add custom filterlists that literally work better than their respective addons;
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mchangrh/yt-neuter/refs/heads/main/yt-neuter.txt
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TimTheBig/filterlists_for_Ubo_plus/refs/heads/main/click2load.txt
And stop using Decentraleyes you fucking mongoloid, it's outdated and fucks up your fingerprint protection.

>>108879114
As for you, you fucking retard, you don't need the dogshit addon, literally go into uBO dashboard and enable the anti-AI filterlist.
Or if you're retarded enough for that somehow just add either of these to uBO;
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Haemate63/uBlockOrigin-HUGE-AI-Blocklist/refs/heads/main/list.txt

Amazing how braindead and tech illiterate people are on a fucking technology board.

yes just do it with ublock
>>
>>108880194
Yeah, I could do it with a bash/python script, but it has really low memory usage, so it has stayed. Besides, it's a real hassle to keep whitelisting domains in umatrix, so it isn't as if any video would ever play in the browser anyway.
