I feel like a retarded subhuman for no longer being able to tolerate 1080p/30fps. It's bizarre since that was all I had growing up (sometimes even 720p/30). And then I bought some mediocre hardware with my paycheck in 2023, now 1080p/60 is the minimum. GTA V on the 360 doesn't look as good as it did back in 4th grade. I am sad now.

comparison is the thief of joy, low framerate and resolution was tolerable before you experienced better. I've been to friends houses who only have consoles and they are really happy with 900p upscaled games running at shitty fps, and to be honest after like 30 minutes of playing you do forget that its a problem

Yes this happened to me aswell. Upgraded from 900p 75hz to 1440p 144hz. I used to be able to play and have fun playing at 30 fps but now I need 100 minimum and it isn't even more fun. I need to buy nore expensive hardware to get the same enjoyment I used to get, because it looks like how 900p 75hz used to look like. But I play some old and weird games where even with better hardware you can't reach the resolution and fps so I have less fun.
