So do these things just not fucking work?
I bought one and I plugged only 4 things in: Xbox controller, USB flash drive, WD Elements external hard drive, Phoenixwan IIDX controller. Every once in a while, at complete random, it would just turn off all the fucking devices that were plugged in. The storage would become inaccessible for like a minute or two. I turned off all the USB power saving bullshit in Windows and the power saving settings on the individual devices in the device manager, and that didn't do shit. What a fucking scam.

OP here im a fag btw

OP here, nvm I figured it out.

Why hasn't anyone made one of these with 127 ports on it yet?
>>

i had one that had issues years ago. i think it was a firmware thing, so yeah, typical broken chinkshit.

Most these come with an external power adapter, for something like that, which is 10 ports, it's probably wanting a 20w wall adapter at minimum if not 45-60w, and is probably expecting 100-120w for 10w per port power delivery. These are meant to charge a shit load of devices not be the hub you thought it was, you're exceeding the port power limits it has nothing to do with windows.

you probably sucked too much power out of it with the external hard drive
unplug it and see how you fare

yeah you'd think with it needing a whole fucking wall jack that wouldn't be an issue
>>
They can work OK but power delivery seems to be the number one issue.
If everything you plug into it has it's own separate power supply, you should be OK. But if you have some devices that are depending on bus power (small hard drives, USB memory sticks etc) that could be introducing instability that could impact every device attached to the hub.

I have a 12-port hub like that with a pile of USB 3 HDDs strapped to it, but all of them have their own power supply. It's worked just fine for years now.

most motherboards dont play nice with a USB extension which is basically what that is.
plug USB direct to the board or go home
>>
i bought some cheap ass 11 port chinese one and its been working flawlessly for the last 3 years. my only guess would be current overdraw which it wouldnt be cause its got a 36w power supply and would just fuck the wall wart instead of dropping out. maybe try a different power supply? different host port? buy the cheapo one?

fair

you're tarded
>>
>>108893124
never had issues with mine
I have the version with 7/3 data/power ports
>>
>>108893124
If it doesn't require an external power brick you got gooned OP.
>>
>>108894391
it did though
and it was plugged in
still did that shit
>>
>>108894443
Well, mine works fine. Make sure the button on the port is actually pressed. You did do that right? Also are you brown?
>>
I've only ever used 4 slot ones, they always worked.
