I'm sure Poogle is claiming that their mathematicians verified the answer mathematically and as a result now understand the problem and solution that they did not understand before.

In the future, you can get an engineering degree without all the gay math classes. So you can take more philosophical like Computers and Ethics and Preventing the AI From Becoming Racist.

will AI finally fix websites? When I have to choose a location, "United States of America" or just "America (US)" should be the top option regardless of the alphabetical list of the rest. Same with choosing subtitles, "English" should be at the top, even if it has options for Arabic or Botswanan
>>
>>108898899
We could fix this with a simple conditional that prefills the box based on your IP address, but, due to legal compliance regarding data privacy, this has become complicated.
>>
>>108898910
We can also fix this by having US and English be manually set as the default or at the top regardless of what the alphabet says. We have the technology, we just need our greatest minds on the case.

>>
>>108898910
>due to legal compliance regarding data privacy
The fuck are you talking about. The website always knows what IP is sending the request, that's just how websites work.
If your paranoid ass is hiding behind 9000 proxies it is your own fault the website is defaulting to bumfuckistanian dialect.
Or maybe not actually, because your browser is already supposed to send your language preferences to the website. Unless you manually removed every entry from that list. But then it can send your OS locale instead.
>>
>>108899503
GDPR, IP is PII. Same too for CCPA.
It's literally the law, try working in the industry
>>
>>108899508
PII only means it can't be disclosed to third party or collected for future use unrelated to direct immediate functionality of a website itelf. A website still knows it and can use it to redirect you to local portal or to set defaults etc.
But only if a web server has a local geoip database, not sending requests to third party geoip lookup services.
>>
>>108899568
I don't give a shit. The law says it's PII, I can't store it before the TOS is accepted. I have to deal with Cloudflare as an intermediary. It becomes a nightmare quickly. Scroll down, or better yet, use the search I put into the field for you. It's in javascript, sorry if that hurts you.
>>
>>108899577

Fuck, thanks. You made my life easier.
>>
>>108899577
You do not need to store anything to redirect the user to a localized page or subdomain.
>I have to deal with Cloudflare as an intermediary.
Now that is again your own fault, but also not an excuse in this case, since cloudflare does relay user IP.
>>
>AI bad because well uh it just is okay
>>
>>108899615

Also lmao we just accidentally solved some webshitter's homework.
>>
>>108899631
Fuck, I missread that as "does NOT relay user ip" and I was like wtf

It's definitely not my own fault though, using cloudflare is not optional in this circumstance. The enterprise plan has been provisioned.

>You didn't use the proper title when speaking to our AI, we have revoked your access to Dr. Claude.

>>

I'm schizomaxing now, ai can't into /x/
>>
>>108899577
>I can't store it
Then how do they accept the TOS? You literally store shit in the session.
>>
>>108901299
I cannot store anything at all of any client until they explicitly authorize via the consent banner. I can gate shit however I want, but under no circumstances can I store anything AT ALL PERIOD until that authorization cookie is set in your browser and I receive it. That's how it has to work. So, if intercepted your IP, and used it to make a choice about which country code should be prefilled, well, I would be breaking the GDPR at that point.

Yeah, that's just the way it is. Some things will never change. ooo-yeah
>>
>>108901315
>I would be breaking the GDPR at that point
Not if the choice is re-calculated on every landing page load and immediately redirects to local portal

>User visits example.com
>example.com sees IP and, without storing it, checks its internal geoip list and 302's user to countrycode.example.com
>All links are dynamically generated to use countrycode.example.com
>Same user visits example.com again
>Since no info was stored either on the server or in cookies, example.com has to once again check its internal geoip list before redirecting
>Same user directly visits anothercountrycode.example.com
>Since the landing page was not used the site displays another country language

Erdos problems are not generally considered difficult at all. Erdos proposed a billion problems, the vast majority of which were curiosities nobody ever cared about. All except 1 that AI "solved" (not reviewed properly yet) were of this type, and the mathematicians that worked for openai using the tool for this purpose commented that the ai was unable to do anything new, but was able to take old techniques and put them together in ways they hadn't thought of. The 1 problem that was actually worked on by people, chatgpt disproved the erdos original conjecture about the lower bound, but nobody has ever cared about the lower bound and all the work was always on the upper bound. Chatgpt did not propose a new lower bound.
>>
>>108899508
If you did work in industry you'd know nobody cares and the buttons don't actually do anything.
