There is nothing inherently wrong with unwrap. It's just used incorrectly and a general reminder that Rust isn't a 100% retard safe language, it's just better than most. Same thing with unsafe. It's fine on it's own, in fact I like it's explicit nature since you can quickly grep for it.

Rust as a language is fine and would likely be more appreciated if it didn't have such a toxic community. Also, it's unfortunately good for AI slop coding, but it's one of the better solutions for cross platform applications. I hope Zig and Odin get a bit of a lift in popularity (or even C3 which seems to have been forgotten) since we need good modern lower level languages.

My plan is to see, weather Windows or Linux starts improving and that becomes default. Right now it's Linux but I am regretting it as basic shit like Window management is bad, but I shouldn't expect much form a Server operating system. It's much, much worse than that.
They had to copy most of Rust's runtime and some of its standard library inside the Linux kernel.
Then they had to write Rust wrappers for C functions in the internal API.
Then they constantly have to change code so it compiles with the latest Rust compiler, which breaks backward compatibility so frequently it's no longer funny.
I miss pre-cucking Linus so much, Linux-bros...
