Art has been democratized anf that's a good thing. Now I can generate beautiful artwork from my favorite works and decorate my comfy hole.
>>108903168Did you ai generate this pic as well?
>>108903168What stopped you from making art before? How is exactly was it not "democratized"?
>>108903168>slop production has been democratized
Pencils and paper are incredibly cheap. Plus you can pirate any digital art software. How exactly was art not democratized before?
>Art has been democratizedSlowly but surely Westroons are converging on the real meaning and implication of "democracy".
>>108903270What AIfags mean by democratizing is that they don't need any skills, which they have zero of because they believe AI is an acceptable substitute for any kind of growth as a human being, to make their own slop anymore.
>>108903368(fat autistic retard using the same argument against learning to cook)
It nicely generated my favorite Literature hero, surely there is merit in this. It's not slop, it's good
>>108903168Art was accessible to literally everyone alive since the Stone Age. What you mean by democratised means that now it takes so little effort that you can have AI agent spam your slop at impossible speeds. Also AI made it less democratised because you need to pay for expensive hardware/rent it to use it.
>>108903475That’s the boy from How to train your dragon combined with the villain from Frozen 1.
>>108903168Art no longer exists lol.
>>108903873It's not slop if it's good, see:>>108903475
>>108903311"skills" are ableist you fucking shitlord
>>108904359I will make a Facebook page that generates these characters every few minutes. There will be multiple alt accounts making Pixar styled Christian boys. Never ending barrage of images and videos.
>>108904359AI can't make art, doesn't matter how good the images it generates can look.
>>108903168>Art has been democratizedNano Banana and Seedance cannot be run on local hardware. You must pay a cloud service to generate it and they ultimately control what you can and cannot generate.
>>108904730>Nano Banana and Seedance cannot be run on local hardwareBernie needs to force Seedance to get released.
>>108904730>You must pay a cloud service to generate it*Seedance, I mostly meant. Nano Banana *is* free up to a limited number of generations per day but if you hit the limit you will still have to either wait for the limit to reset or pay to bypass it though.
>>108903248>>108903248>I can only conceptualize artistic merit based on how many man hours it took
>>108903168As a pirate I must say that you're wrong. Just because Scam Altman downloaded all the interwebs and made hand painted artwork cheap by increasing supply, does not mean it is a good thing.Like with the rest of "disruptive" tech this only does damage to everyone besides few who profited from it.Before that an artist would create his work, make money from it or make a name for themselves. Piracy was not doing much besides making good artists well known. But when Scam Altman did that (I'm referring to a collective image of AI companies, not a single individual), it broke the economy. And it is not clear what will happen. Potentially there will be a great shortage of artists soon. So it will cause stagnation for a few decades. Less new things. Less new styles. Less talents discovered.AI model is simply a database of the previous artwork, it cannot improve on it's own. A well knwon fact that even Scam Altman himself would not dare to oppose. Right now they cannot self improve without humans feeding it new data.
>>108903168What do you mean? Art has been democratized for decades. You can download any of these for free and start creating.
>>108904027it's been relocated to a secret facility and will be released when morale improves.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pov0MKuyJfg&ra=m
>>108903168Aren't there any stores near you that sell art supplies?
>>108904408Beethoven was deaf when he composed Symphony No. 9, widely considered his greatest work.
>>108905150>beethoven was unskilled
>>108903168Not a single "AI" generated meme exists. you need to be a "based retard" human to invent a meme. That's all I have to say, think about it.
>>108904937Artists will just pivot to sculpting. That's the natural progression.
>>108905520idk, modern CNC can cut perfect shapes, so artists will quite literally be forced to do whatever job pays better money. And then you get AI overtraining on it's own output and stagnation, like I said. Many people do not know much about modern AI and think that it can be improved by some magical means. But there's no magic and training data is the key. No training data -> no imrpovement. Increasing compute and model size will hit diminishing returns very fast. It's happening as we speak.
>>108903168Yippie
>>108905579Artists keep claiming that but AI can do permutations with randomness added. The randomness is new and the permutation is in a way "new" too.It gets selected and there you go, you got improvement at ~the same if not faster rate than artist pick up ideas, trends and randomness that sprung up in human artist minds.
AI art slop has done nothing but increase the value of true patrician traditional illustrators, inkers, and painters such as myself. People are latching onto the real art buoy even harder in this sea of AI generated shit.
>>108903475
>>108905471Excellent point.
