>America>passing ID verification lawsLand of the free everyone.
it doesn't fucking matter.they will force it at some point.don't act like we're safe.
>>108903437But how else will I get my dopamine hit over the Windows vs Linux war I'm emotionally invested in?
>>108903408this isn't a winthey will force it on everyone after the fact
Now it's time to boycott the distros that pivoted away from privacy and tried to aid that nightmare being added to GNU/Linux. They don't deserve their audience.
>>108903408>epstein OS gets an exemptionOf fucking course
>>108903408Hopefully this doesn't cause people to stop pushing this issue because there should be 0 ground given on this subject. Undo porn ID verification, no app store ID verification, none of it. Un-American nonsense
>>108903524>puritanism is un-americanyou’re not much for history, huh
>>108903408Not good enough, fully kill and permanently outlaw Parents Decide Act, Chat Control, Digital ID as a whole, and CBDCs as well.
>>108903408POOttering with his attestation service on suicide watch
>>108903437celebrate the win and stay vigilant, because you're right, they WILL try again later
>>108903430>Land of the free everyone. That's what freedome is about. You are free, to be put inside a dome.
Apple will probably claim because Darwin is open source they are technically an open source OS, same with Microsoft with MS-DOS and Windows Research Kernel being open source.
It would have been hilarious if every fucking router, iot spy device, calculator, server and anything between them would been forced to have age verification.
>>108903430It was just a part of counter-communist propaganda during the Cold War; nobody pretends anymore
>>108903597Just bexause it happened doesnt mean it was okay or constitutional.Shit liek the wiskey rebellion proves the govt was never your friend even after fighting a bloody war.
>>108904101It would have been pretty funny seeing them try to implement it>stopwatch asks for your age before setting a timer>smart lightbulb needs you to scan your DL before you turn it on
systemdxixters.....
>>108903408Could this be the key to finally usher in the era of the Linux desktop?
>>108904488It doesn't sound like a real name, more like something a CIA boomer would use
>>108904581what do you even mean Jonathan Taylor Thomas is not a real name?
You're naive if you think this is going to be the end of it. Do you really think they were going to replace the current "send your ID to a third party" system with one where you self report your age on the OS? Most likely Microsoft will come up with some ID verification thing built into Windows like Apple already has done on the iphone, and you just won't be able to access certain services unless you use them.
>>108903599Anon you can't post that pic while saying such antisemitic things...
>>108904488Whatever happened to this fag? The last thing I knew was him crying in an interview because he was getting death threats.
>>108905344This. The OS not providing the API will just mean that every service/application that does require age verification will not work on it. This is not the win people here think it is.
> if it gets approved the next year..when it gets approved, then, then come with your retarded news
I was never worried about the law in so far as its application to my personal computer.I'm worried about the internet simply blanket blacklisting my computer for not doing attestation. That's where things are headed.
>>108903408repeat after me:
>>108903408Does that mean the archinstall team had added birthday field for nothing?
>>108907479No, you will still have to send them your photo with mandatory trans flag behind you.
>>108903408THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT BOYS
>>108903408Age verification only makes sense with smartphones because every dumb kid has one and google already knows everything about you anyway.
