Sorry, I can't use AI. It's against my religion as a devout Catholic.
>>108911061the human person is a piece of shit, if we only get culled by 80% thats a win for humanity in my book
>>108911061The pop wants ai to be more woke and DEI lol. Do christcucks really
>>108911061Not what he said thoughbeit
>>108911061I think Leo should watch Neuro and Evil to see that we also have good AI already.

>>108911259westoids in vtubing were and still are a mistake.
Notice how people like OP are always Catholic, but never Christian. Religion as a fashion statement, for use in online subcultures. You will know them by their fruits...Anyways, the pope's letter calls for regulations on government use of so-called "AI" systems, saying that they must be verifiable, something that LLMs are not. Fundamentally, LLMs are non-deterministic, which opens up a ton of issues with regards to legality and how they're used in applications like surveillance and investigation (profiling.)
>>108912595Imagine getting charged with assault because some lazy bureaucrat used a hallucinating chatgpt as evidence. Probably more likely to happen than you might think.
>>108912595Also, I always find it amusing when these religious people who are technically illiterate try to give such bold opinions on "AI." It's always "the Tower of Babel" or something. They're so dramatic lol. They're influenced by Hollywood and television more than they would admit.
>>108912595Catholicism is a form of Christianity. Non-Catholic Christians don't care about what the Pope thinks and often even think that he is evil. Secular people probably respect the Pope more than the average Protestant or Ortho does, secular people who aren't fedora tippers see him as a wise philosopher from "another way of knowing" like the Dalai Lama or something.
>>108912683I'm not referring to that, I'm just referring to the phenomenon of online people identifying as "Catholic" for aesthetic purposes while displaying behaviors and attitudes that betray their profession of Christian. I know, let he who is without sin etc., but yeah, just musing. I like Catholicism, to a degree. My main point though is that the pope is one of an alarmingly low number of people calling for these "AI" systems to be verifiable. Does no one want any accountability? We're all just okay with a Kafka-esque future where The AI™ can be severely error-prone but no human in the pipeline notices or cares because they view these tools as infallible?
>>108912595Dude, one Christian denomination doesn't believe in God at all as a church as a place for liberal preaching, the other expects the end is near, so you need to give everything to Israel. It is a sign of the times when the Catholic Church is seen by everyone as something at least adequate in comparison

>>108911061wow papists really do need priests to explain even the pope's writings to them
>>108911061The Vatican was probably worried a church's AI Jesus scam would distract from their own AI Jesus scam.
I'm atheist.
>>108916268you don't believe in AI?
