>be mangowm>solves tiling window managers once and for allnothing personnel kid
>>108911711>mongowmliterally who?
>more ai slop>>>/t/rash/
>>108911711hyprland just werks
>>108911711Not a fan of how it's made by a chang. Also, it's slightly perplexing why they'd build so much on top of DWL (DWM Wayland) and not add a tabbed mode. I get that you can use Tags as a replacement for tabbed modes, but since you can also have scrolling windows on a tag, it becomes more like a workspace that happens to be a tag. Overall good WM. Feels better than Hyprland to use, very smooth animations and very very lightweight. Also fairly feature. Terrible name.
>>108911711How'd it need solving when dwm exists?
>>108911711dwm just werks
I find so funny that 15 years ago everyone bitched about BSPWM and switched to i3 because it's windowing mode was too unintuitive, but then all these new faggy WMs for Wayland implement BSPWM's schemas model and everyone loves it. I still won though, cause i never left iceWM and probably won't in the next 10 years until they fix Wayland.
>>108913426>IceWMbased. Used it a while ago and it was solid but now I'm on labwc with no problems.
>no drawing tablet support>no hdr>blender had weird double input issuesIt's promising, but I ended up switching off it. Maybe I'll try it again in a year.
>>108911711How is this better than Niri exactly?
>>108911711I was pleasantly surprised by it>>108916489niri is a technically great piece of software with forced stupid features, (scrolling, dynamic workspaces)
>>108911711Tiling window managers are garbage. All of them. The entire concept is flawed.
>>108911711Niri
>>108916511honestly Niri would easily be the greatest if it just offered tiling options, I tried it for weeks but scrolling really didn't stick with me
>>108916936This but for non-tiling window managers.
