Anyone else switching after the horrifying new firefox UI redesign?
>>
>>108913408
Yes
>>
>>108913408
Whatever happened to Male Poon? I thought that was a really funny name.
>>
>>108913408
pale moon ui looks boring and outdated

You can use GTK2 or GTK3 if you want. It doesn't force GTK3 like firefox does. Also it still supports ALSA which was dropped from Firefox.

I would but i've read you get range'd if you clear cookies, so i'm stuck on FF (which i mostly used for posting anyways, with opera being my main) until i try again in about a month or so
>>
>>108913589
>I would but i've read you get range'd if you clear cookies
This isn't true and is just plainly stupid.
>>
>>108913408
already switched long ago

>>108913498
mozilla shills already in full force
they don't even realize that they are indirectly paid by Google so they can spy on you 24/7 on top of breaking the web constantly with unstable and unneeded "features" bloat that are intended to make Chrome the only "compliant" browser

I choose a browser that respects my liberties: Pale Moon.
also it's fast as they rewrote a lot of firefox under the hood much better than mozilla ever could
>>
>>108913408
i just use ungoogled chromium now
>>
>>108913408
Unusable and insanely limited when comparing it to FF (and I say this as a palemoon enjoyer) but it's true the new UI is horrific enough to make it worth considering
I think I will stay on Icecat or firefox ESR after nova starts being forced
>>
>>108913601

Then what's the reason?
>Not on a VPN
>Not on a proxy
>Haven't touched the router because my family uses it
>Last ban was a 3-day sometime late last year
>Posted atleast twice (mainly in desktop threads) with no issue about a month ago
>Yet can post on FF perfectly fine
>>
>>108913671
>>Posted atleast twice (mainly in desktop threads) with no issue about a month ago
*on PM
>>
No because Pale Moon is literally useless in 2026 internet. 95% of all websites aren't working with it anymore (garbled layouts, non working buttons etc)
>>
>>108913808
Oh and many websites lock you out banning your IP because they don't recognize your browser and therefore think you're a bot.

why is this shit still not in firefox Nth shitty redesign no one fucking wanted but they can't add something this simple
>>

>Can't access a bunch of websites bloated with jewvascript and have trackers out of the ass
Oh no, the horror!
>>
>>108913408
Unless you're on MacOS you won't even notice the UI difference, all of the extra padding is Mac-Exclusive in Firefox Nova.
>>
>>108913808
The internet barely even exists anymore. 4chan is one of the only fragments remaining. Pale Moon works here, which is all that matters.
>>
>>108913897
>websites bloated with jewvascript and have trackers out of the ass
Congrats, you just described 99% of the entire internet.
>>
>>108913968
>4chan is one of the only fragments remaining. Pale Moon works here
Cloudflare is already doing its best to also make PM impossible here. The dev of the browser had to mail CF multiple times and the browser kept getting into situations where it got stuck in a loop not able to load the captcha because PM is incompatible with CF every fucking time CF deploys a bigger update
>>
Considering switching not because of UI but because i always feel like i have corpo cocks up my ass when using Firefox. Does Pale Moon fix that? Like does it have integrated Google, Cloudflare or other garbage?
>>
>>108913408
I use it on old computers and for retro ricing. Unfortunately, its javascript engine isn't as advanced and up-to-date as Chromium/Firefox/WebKit and in extreme cases this prevents websites from even loading and going blank. I wonder what stops them from just using Firefox's javascript engine. If you have powerful enough hardware, just use Firefox CSS.
>>
>>108913986
> Cloudflare is already doing its best to also make PM impossible here
I have no love for CF but I don't think that is a fair assessment. If Cloudflare wanted to block Pale Moon it would not need to try. I don't think Cloud flare is antagonistic to small browsers, maybe indifferent. And as bad as CF is, it could be a lot worse, imagine if Cloud Flare was owned by google.

You aren't actually getting rangebanned, it's to force you to use e-mail verification because of the 24/7 proxytard spam we were undergoing. It's not fun and it softly gives 4chan an account system, but they also accept Protonmail so cycling through email addresses is easy. If there were some method of actually building cookie/session trust without the fucking email verification I'd be a lot happier with it, but if you've got that fake rangeban then you can't post AT ALL until you verify your session over email.

This poster has no soul

*Modern internet
And everytime some fag brings up shit not working they can never name a single website of value worth accessing on PM.
>>
>>108913589
Range bans are made up, at least most of the time they are. The automod just flags your IP based on an algorithm and tells you you're rangebanned. You can fix it by restarting your router. The real issue is cloudflare breaking support, which it often does. Works right now though.
>>
>>108913671
The range is fake, it only blocks one specific ip temporarily. Restarting your router should fix it.
>>
>>108913658
I wouldn't say its unstable, but it does have issues rendering some webpages.
>>
>>108913808
Works on my machine.
>>
>>108913408
Thanks, but I'm sticking with Firefox.
>>
>>108913986
Apparently the most recent case was because they fired and replaced everyone in the browser compatibility department during a bout of downsizing. So he had to find new people to contact and explain everything to the new people all over again.

>>108914099
No, they are actively antagonistic. They tried to load malware on all browsers flagged as bots a year ago. And they still automatically block anything that isn't Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Samsung Mobile Browser based on a long list of browser specific rendering engine tests that they refuse to share the specs for. Its literally impossible to pass cloudflare checks unless they actively add support to your rendering engine.
>>
>>108914099
>imagine if Cloud Flare was owned by google
Cloudflare is worse than reCaptcha
>>
Pale Moon has by far the best design philosophy of any brower, but like >>108913808 said, it's completely unusable.
May end up switching to Floorp.
>>
>>108913498
This. I start up my browser and fuck around with any built-in crap all day without ever using it to view any website content. I’m not worth my fuel value to society.
>>
>>108915068
Floorp's great in my experience with it, using it right now. Firefox with less BS.
>>
>>108913583
alsa is dead for good reason
>>
>>108915379
alsa isn't dead. pipewire sits on top of alsa. all that's "dead" is being able to directly output to alsa without needing to go through a middleman like pipewire.
>>
>>108915127
i can't muster the strength to use a browser called "floorp." such an odd name.
>>
>>108914876
noclip.website
>>
It's engine is the 2017 era Gecko with a few cherry picks, it can't even load text based websites like Discourse.
>>
>>108917393
Just because the visible outcome is text, does not mean its not got layers and layers of bloated bullshit underneath. Pretty much every modern website could have been implemented 20+ years ago, the last 20 years has just added bloated bullshit that does nothing useful.
>>
>>108913408
I keep switching between Ungoogled Chromium and Pale Moon.

Chromium is soulless but just works.
Pale Moon is almost perfect but requires an autistic level of tinkering to function properly.
>>
File: file.png (280 KB, 1919x1079)

what redesign?
>>
>>108913408
They literally just rounded the corners on some icons and you're over here throwing a hissy fit like it's ruined.
Fuck off, it's barely any different.
>>
>>108913408
I switched away during the ad nauseum meltdown.
>>
I really want to use Palemoon however there are some serious problems with it, the main problem is that the page UI is buggy, I have had problems with it applying theming inconsistently to pages and also there are broken websites like https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/

>>108914000
If you're worried about that stuff then just use Librewolf or GNU IceCat
>>
>>108918115
I nearly vomited when I saw the current firefox UI. Even if it declines bit by bit, at some point it has to be too much.
