The gaymers who watch that trash like to see him "fight the good fight" against the corpos. It's cheaper than theater and the blood is real. Except he's not even doing that anymore, now he's just doing faggot shit like whining about "getting blacklisted" because he didn't get sampled on a non-gaming CPU when his channel is named GAMERS Nexus. People who believe Steve incoherently rambling about shit that's way out of his depth is putting any fear into corpos must be as delusional as he is.

All he's doing is ruining his reputation he built for years, abandoning all of his principles, all to chase a short-term YouTube profit like >>108916193 and >>108916571 said, and every reply believing that any form of critique of Steve MUST be paid corpo shills just drive the point further. He decided to attract an audience of complete midwits and he got too lost in his own sauce to realize he made a gigantic ass out of himself for no real benefit. He's an old man yelling at cloud and he won't change a damn thing. The market collapsing once the investors start pulling out will, but he won't do jackshit with his preaching to make that happen.

>the death of personal computing
It's hard to take him seriously when he has shown that he has a tendency to exaggerate absolutely everything to make it sound worse than it actually is.
The GPU black market documentary. He hyped it up like it was going to be something incredible, like doing back alley deals in shady corners, and in the end it was really fucking lackluster and honestly boring. Talking over shit that the Chinese do on the daily over tea.
The Bloomberg DMCA he relentlessly milks and acts like they're his nemesis or some shit. That's another tendency he has with his now uncontrolled ego: seeing big players like Bloomberg, Nvidia or AMD as his enemies that are out to get him.
The AMD "blacklist" was one of the most egregious exaggerations to date. AMD didn't give a fuck about the X3D2 so much they didn't even send one to LTT, but since Steve lost his mind reading into shit he's not well versed in, he saw some grand conspiracy that Lisa Su herself has blacklisted him for daring to regurgitate online articles about her that put her in a negative light.

That's why people are sick of Steve and why no one gives a shit about his preaching. You can't take him seriously ever since he decided to skew to sensationalism to keep his media company afloat during a drought of hardware to review. Even though, and I will point that out relentlessly, he promised to review the FLP02 half a year ago, he has it in his office, it would make for interesting content, yet he constantly puts it on a backburner.

I subscribed to him for years for hardware reviews, not preachy sensationalist bullshit. And I guarantee you that this'll bite him in the ass once he can't milk the sensationalism anymore and it's back to hardware reviews as he will sour many companies from working with him with how fast and loose he's been playing for the last few months.
>>
>>108916864
I wouldn't be surprised if at some point he ends up being sued by one of the massive companies he trash talks. All it would take is believing a few redditors who claim their ____ exploded on its own and they totally weren't using it wrong.
>>
>>108916903
Well let's hope he's not as bad with lawsuits on the receiving side as he is on the giving side, given how well his attempt at suing Honey went.
>didn't have a case
>only one to pull out with prejudice
>meaning he can't sue them again
>and fucking over people actually affected by PayPal by giving them an upper hand in the lawsuit
>then sweeping it all under the rug and never mentioning it again hoping people'll forget this fiasco
Steve is well on his way to receiving the same treatment he gave to Linus, which is really ironic. Those blunders will eventually catch up to him, and no amount of "muh Tech Jesus" or "muh corpo shills" ballwashing from his sycophants will save him.

Steve complains about something that is actually happening and is sponsored by most governments in the world.
BUT BUT HE GOT SOMETHING WRONG BEFORE SO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING!!!!!!!!
The boy that cried wolf doesn't work when the wolf is publicly advertising he is going to come to the village and fuck you up regardless of the boy's previous lies.
>>
>>108917035
Steve complains about things he doesn't understand and he spins his own narrative over it.
1) on-prem computing won't die, the moment any corpo tries to pull that shit on the enterprise market, they'll instantly face pushback since no one wants to be SOL the moment their Internet connection gives out, and the enterprise market dictates the consumer market. The whole "we will only have thin clients" conspiracy dies on that sword. It's why Windows LTSC became a thing, corpos refused to be tied to Microsoft's rolling release hell as they need on-prem reliability, and it trickled down to our consumer space.
2) the datacenters that are being built aren't suited for this type of computing. It's specifically billions upon billions of GPU's for 3D math matrices calculations and HBM RAM to go with it, not general computing that you'd need to move everyone to thin clients.
3) all of it relies on the market bubble not popping, and it's unlikely it'll survive until next year. We already have big players like Microsoft's Nadella putting in doubt in the viability of the AI craze, so it's only a matter of time this entire plan gets turned upside-down and Steve's doomsaying will end up becoming false.

Most importantly, I never directly defended the big corporations, and only bashed Steve. So (You) jumping in to call me a corpo shill just proves my point. Steve attracted an audience of sycophantic midwits that will jump to defend him in the most rabid way possible whenever someone dares to criticize his sudden change of character.
>>
>>108917025
>prices go up because of a demand spike
Said demand is literally government giving handouts to AI companies so they can circle jerk money around. They can't even use 10% of the stuff they wanted to buy because of a lack of data centers and amount of hardware necessary. All That demand is artificial bullshit designed to drive consumers out of the market sponsored by said consumer money.
>nvidia rolls consumer and prosumer gpus into a single metric, as they're sub-10% combined ATM
Gee i wonder why they choose to do this when gaming related profit is up significantly? But you know what, it allows them to can their gaming division more easily.

>>
To put it bluntly: Steve made a career out of reviewing consumer hardware for well over a decade. Him suddenly trying to discuss economy and politics only shows how naive and unprofessional he really is. He's way out of his depth with this content and it shows.

>>108917066
>When they tell you 2030 is going to be subscription computing only with forced id
"They" being idiots on the Internet? Because I remember how people were doomsaying that Windows 12 would be out in 2025 with forced MS account, forced AI and all the bad bad no no stuff, and all of that didn't end up happening. You said something about "boy who cried wolf", and the truth is that it applies to (You) and every doomsayer that predicts the worse of the worse to happen, only for it to repeatedly not happen. That's why even if what Steve is talking about has merit, I simply cannot take it seriously due to my memory of doomsayers being repeatedly wrong about their worst case scenarios becoming true.

In what world? They are complete opposites.
>he datacenters that are being built aren't suited for this type of computing.
The same hardware can be used to stream whatever content is needed.
>all of it relies on the market bubble not popping
Bubbles were private in the past, this AI thing is government backed and sponsored. It will never pop, only get worse for the average person with increased costs to cover the expense.

I hate to be the "but muh context, but muh nuance" but most normies don't actually know that false flags are a thing and literally just take things on the internet at face value and move on and the opposition took full advantage of that for a very, very, very long time.

He also soured people with his increased politisperging that drove the original audience of people interested in tech away, leading to them now criticizing the creator, with the creator's sycophants then equating criticism of the creator with being opposed to what the creator is saying.

I mean, this entire thread just proves the point. Any and all criticisms of the creator is equated to being opposed to what they're saying, and ad hominems of being a rightoid paid corpo shill start flying. You cannot dare to criticize what Steve is saying, for he is Tech Jesus and everything he says is sacred. Guess the blasphemy explains a lot about these "people".

I'm mad because I watched him for years as he did X. Then he suddenly stopped doing X and started doing Y. Not to mention how for years he propped himself up as someone reasonable, apolitical and objective, and within the span of months he threw all that through the window, which just make him look like a spineless opportunist I simply cannot respect anymore.

I doubt corpos are siding with these guys considering most corpos are left leaning. You sound like you came out of stasis from the 60 to the 80s when corpos actually were right wing.
>>
>>108917278
Actually it was the GFC that did the most damage. Occupy also made ceos panic and shut down a whole bunch of shit. Then right shit made some lefties involve shit bricks around 2016ish and 2022/23 ish and now only technocrats have information and leverage now. This was the REAL goal. Hence the AI in conjunction with legal restrictions on content.

Then you see Gaza and it all clicks. Because Israel benefited significantly from all of this and even burnt off criticising jews in the process.
>>
>>108917285
See, you're onto something. Steve isn't new to this market or how it rolls. He's been there when the first crypto boom fucked over the GPU market during the Pascal era. He's not dumb and he can be objective when he wants to be. People who watched him for years (shoutout if you started watching back when he recorded from his mom's house) are simply disgusted with how he betrayed the trust he built for years by jumping to blatant sensationalism. Obviously it's to keep the YouTube money flowing, but it completely betrayed his character of being an objective reviewer and journalist that people watched him for.

To put it in an allegory, Steve loves to talk about how gamers built Nvidia and now Nvidia is shitting on gamers. Viewers that watched GN for tech reviews and genuinely interesting, informative, objective and apolitical content built Steve's career, and now he shat all over them to chase the short-term outrage market dollar. So yeah, fuck him and fuck his newfound audience that only relentlessly defends him because they started following him circa the Bloomberg spergout.

>>108917305
Works on per-individual basis, not as a global replacement of "thing bad for environment" like mr. mantiddy in a tacky jacket preaches it as. Like I said, he loves to talk about shit that's too complex for him to understand, and people who don't know any better see him as some sort of sage.

The Old America would have never abided being enslaved to Israel, either. But it does now because they're the donor/Epstein class, they control all the media, they openly admit it and to rigging national elections, and oh yeah, the government now sends them unredacted information on every single American so that they can spy on us. Israel also got a big golden parachute when the government also intentionally sent Intel to their country, along with most other tech including the keys to the patent office. The coordinated looting of this country is something to behold. And no one seemingly has any problem with it, least of all the people, who should have revolted a long time ago.

>Occupy Wall Street was too powerful
>half way through the protest they started talking about gay marriage, trans rights, communism, and they elected a pink haired woman named "Ketchup" with xhe/xher pronouns to represent them.
Nah, what happened is that the regular people who supported it were either pushed out by the crazy radicals who didn't have jobs or the regular people who supported it went back to work and left in in the hands of the college retards who then ruined it. Lets not pretend that OWS was some sort of amazing grassroots movement that was only stopped because you want to larp Star Wars or the Revolutionary War.
>>
>>108917340
To be fair Intel was started or at least owned by a Jew so it makes sense that if they were zionist they would move to Israel, but the whole looting and letting Israel keep tabs on us and regulate our freedom of speech because "any sort of criticism of Israel is Anti-Semetic" is absolutely ridiculous, I agree.

nothing, he just hates how steve smartly pivoted his channel from PC hardware reviews to PC industry drama and consumer watchdog deepdives because his own audience got priced out of building PCs in general, this is how you stay relevant when nobody's buying what you're selling anymore.
>>
>>108922082
It's not as much as a pivot as it's just what happens when you dig deeper than the dime a dozen tech "reviewers".
It's impossible to say you have good moral authority to say nothing when there is so much bullshit going on with companies denying RMAs, shipping defective products and just acting slimy in general.

For some reason calling out the business practices of companies just enrages certain people. It's fucked up too because it's not any one company, people get offended if you call out any established Taiwanese companies.

No, it shows the miserable state the industry is in right now. And you're aiding and abetting it in some kind of brandwarrior stupor which is the dumbest, most self-destructive bandwagon you can possibly jump into.

The most baffling part of this is that the thread has dozens of posts with the same point you're failing to make, just phrased differently. Which means some low rent agency is throwing an LLM at the "problem".

This, we don't need to get rid of greed we just need to moderate it so it isn't a corrosive or corrupting force in society, the best way to get people to work that isn't desperation is to appeal to and facilitate improvements to their quality of life over time. Greed can be good but not all greed is good and sadly, with any system that incentives people with their own self-interest your gonna have winners and losers.
Maybe its utopian for me to believe but I believe you can still have winners and losers without the losers being homeless drug addicts or struggling to barely get by.

>Do you think samshit is producing less than what they could on purpose
I don't have to think it, these companies already did this. In fact they promised it to their shareholders, as allowing "over-production" drove prices far too low. That was before the recent insanity, but many companies are still avoiding supply rakp-up even with the endless gravy train. They remember what happened with the crypto booms.
