Microsoft don’t give a shit about end users. They make their money with azure and b2b office products. Stop caring about a dumbsterfire that is an experiment garden for ltsc release of the os.

Used a network monitor today, only Firefox-ESR using bandwidth while I was browsing on my Debian laptop. I used wireshark on windows once, 100 different services using bandwidth constantly sending data everywhere. Why do windows users like having all their information sent to various agencies so much? Microsoft is literally using the gathered information from your device to create an AI mimic of you that they can torment or play with in various ways. They deduce your entire life by how you move your mouse cursor, personal photos and from your browsing habits ..etc.
>>
>>108919829
Are they getting rid of the electron bullshit and preferably going back to a cohesive, elegant, and functional UI like in windows 7 (win32-based)? I doubt it but I'll accept getting rid of the electron bullshit

Nope, programs have to adapt to that for whatever fucking reason
Honestly I don't care much since it's one fucking 5 second tweak to bring the old menu back and there's no benefit to the new one
>>
>>108919829
No, Windows will NEVER. Unless they finally become posix compliant, switch to the Linux Kernel and just use "Windows" as a DE + Service. MacOS, Unix, BSD, Linux, Android etc. Are all pretty similar. Windows is actually the odd one. You should ask yourself why it's even there. EEE.

Most people use Windows just at work or at home for gaming. And Microsoft NEEDS Linux, they had to implement WSL and became one of the biggest Kernel contributors and donators. Their whole infrastructure and AI relies on Linux.

It it weren't for gaming, people would simply use a MacBook for programming and creative stuff. Microsoft knows this and they actually don't care, because the were early adopters of the cloud. They will lose the Desktop game in the long run, but they secured their survival with the cloud.

>>
>>108921536
No, the truth is that everybody has to use Windows because the software they need can't run yet on WINE.
And by the way, Windows doesn't have to suck. Windows 2000 was very good. And Windows 7 was fine after a few hours of settings to remove all the stupid shit.
>>
>>108921616
To be fair that has been always the case.
I remember putting together a PC for my dad who refused to move on to Windows 7 for some specific tool and still just somehow had XP drivers and it was night and day for basic operations. Explorer was stupidly faster, there was no point of comparison. There's a reason why Vista took a shit early on.

yes, the "recommended" is annoying bloat, but its the best that we can do on windows default UI.

Rather not use any 3rd party software to fix it, those might randomly break when windows updates

True, but then again: "Most" of the Software people want, is actually 3rd Party Software and has nothing to do with how great and feature complete Windows is. (except in house products like offic365 etc). People use Mac or Linux because they want to. And people use Windows because they "have" to.

It's normal to windows releases to suck first and then eventually become good after few years.

People should look at Linux's rise as a good thing. Not because Linux is any good, but because it is forcing Microsoft to drop some of their stupid shit and aim for another Windows 7 moment. They fixed ME with XP, they fixed Vista with Vista SP2 and they fixed 8.0 with 8.1. Pajeets were around the whole time.

I can't believe I'm on a timeline where I'm actually defending MS as an Apple user, but Linux is and always will be a meme for the unemployed and disabled people. At the end of the day, it can't run meaningful software. It's got <5% market share for a reason.
