Im switching os from windows, but I still want to game. Can I do a dual boot linux/windows system on seperate drives and not have any issues gaming. I currently have 3 drives 1tb nvme ssd, 2 tb nvme ssd (for games), 128 gb ssd. I want to put the windows on the128 and only use it for gaming. Can I do this?
Yes, just put windows on one of the drives with all the games you want and use a bootloader to pick which os you want to start your pc with
Nowadays all games work on Linux except those with aids anti-cheats anyway. I installed Linux with dual-boot Windows to ease the transition but after a while I just stopped using Windows all together because everything just worked on Linux (albeit after a few tweaks).
Make sure the Windows drive isn't connected when you install Linux, that will avoid any bootloader problems and you can just use your BIOS's boot menu to launch into Linux or Windows. Once Linux is installed, go into Windows device manager and disable the drive that has Linux installed
