I want to become a SWE but realistically speaking I don't know if I should study EE or CS at this point in this dogshit tech job market. I've heard EE is harder and I'm not really interested in EE work but I've also heard it has more job stability compared to CS. I've also heard that EE can switch to CS but CS can't switch to EE. What should I do? I don't want to end up wasting years getting a degree that will only land me a job at McDonald's.

EE. CS is super gay and lame. I really regret doing this degree. 99% of """SWE""" is just webslop anyways.
>>108930333Olde timey ('89) CS here: hide your power level and go CE. I am surrounded by EEs that can't code.>>108930378>Neither degree was ever relevant to the daily life of a software developer.Sure thing, buddy.>>108930565>99% of """SWE""" is just webslop anyways.Wouldn't know. t. embedded guy

>>108930333i just want to stop working, literaly no jobs i've ever worked for provided any value to society, it's all a fucking joke.
>>108931641Well what jobs have you worked? If you're in tech you could grind for a few years, invest all of your money, and be wealthy when you're older. Leech in the meantime
>>108931653>what jobs have you workedmeme crypto.then meme crypto mining operations.then meme useless ai bullshit that runs on VC money.anyway, it's always the same thing, even jobs posting, 99% of companies are fucking useless.>grind for a few years, leech in the meantimeyes that's what i'm doing, but it's all so fucking soulless.
>>108930333>want to become a SWENo you don’t you want to make money and avoid being a “loser” in the eyes of a bunch of even more entitled losers than you.Nobody wants to be a software engineer after they actually take a look under the hood and find infinite broken jeet code
