What's your favorite computer component? For me it's the CPU, I like the way it looks and how intricate it is
>>108935988I like the fan. Reminds me of when I was young and I had a fan.
The monitor which help me watch south America transsexuals cumpilation
>>108935996Yeah, they're pretty cool
>>108936067>>108935996I had these two girls taking pictures of me and following me all the time in the highschool... kinda creepy if you think of it but the were simply shy as fuck
>>108936187>kinda creepy if you think of itIs that what they titled the photographs of you?
i like the ethernet port. the click is satisfying
>>108936237Good pickPersonally I was big on GPUs before they got so fat I can barely squeeze them in my case
>>108935988i like the cpu because everything can be made to fit in if we really wanted to:>ram>wifi/cellular modem>gpu>storageintel already experimented with giving their cpu's on-die ram, and it turned out pretty well for battery life. hopefully we get more of that c:
>>108935988If only there AI wasn't anal raping the ram, gpus and storage market. Each of us could enjoy some high end gpus for relatively cheap
>>108935988Fans in different lights and colors are cool
>>108935988Optical drive bays are pretty cool bc you can put whatever you want in them
>>108935988For me, it's the memory controller. But I prefer the external, southbridge kind, none of this IMC shit.
>>108935988ram
>>108935988For me it's the bus. Nothing happens without the bus. NOTHING.
>>108936205No, but i was in the slavs and muslims hater group
>>108935988expansion ports for me, specially high speed ones like PCIe, these are truly the ones that can make a pc unique
air coolershnggggg fuckkkk
>>108939476>dumb cooler designMany such cases
>>108935988Definitely motherboards for me because they're so underappreciated, not only does it have the job of being a high speed platform for everything to talk to each other, but the VRM side of the board is taking the 12V line from the PSU, and stepping that down into something the CPU can run on.
>>108935988Nowadays, I like the PSU. It has a variety of voltage outputs and can be used for more than a desktop pc. It can be used to power all sorts of 12v, 5v, and 3.3v devices for fun little experiments. I don't really like modern CPUs and GPUs and all of the other proprietary bullshit. It's just a fancy new way to enslave us computer users.
>>108939537>It has a variety of voltage outputs and can be used for more than a desktop pcSo true, they're quite handy at powering random shit, like if you don't want to buy an expensive ass HDMI receiver to get AM FM Bluetooth for your home, its way cheaper to hook up a car stereo to the 12V and some speakers and listen to that,
>>108939513Are you the motherfucker who recently outbid me on eBay for this? Unironically the best motherboard ever made. Most based CPU and the most PCIe lanes of all motherboard that support that CPU.
>>108940256I stopped buying UD3 boards in 2019, but I was collecting them for a while to the point where I have four of them brand new and two of them in built rigs.
>>108940346Awesome, nice one man. I have 2x v4 and 2x v3, but i'm also going to stop collecting now. They really are the GOAT.
>>108940413Glad im not the only UD3 rev 4 appreciator, that thing was such a bizarre board when it came out because it had to be an overclocking monster to even run the FX-9000 CPUs without crashing, yet it wasn't some OC formula, ROG, MPOWER thing that sold for too much money, it was under the regular ultra durable line, which meant it was a simple matte black motherboard with a high end chipset and a phat fucking VRM on it.
>>108935988A good keyboard.
>>108940512Gigabyte UD boards in general I've found to be very dependable, got a bunch of them for AM2/3 and all work perfectly still.
>>108940680>>108940512For me it's asrock
>>108940685>775 and 478Kek ASrock are some crazy motherfuckers, I'll never forget their retarded ass X99 ITX.
>>108940739that tiny VRM looks like it'd combust as soon as you put a 140W CPU in it
>>108940769It'll probably be okay since its a 6 phase, because you absolutely need at least a 6 phase to run a 125w AMD FX, the 4 phase will throttle.
>>108935988obviously case is like small helmholz resonator
>>108940877Thats an X99 motherboard, and it's probably actually only 4 phases for CPU with the other two phases for other stuff like memory and PCIe. Just ASRock doing ASRock things :D Quad-channel platform with 2 DIMM slots...
>>108939537Plus you can do other things with a PSU
>>108941147>Quad-channel platform with 2 DIMM slotsKek that's the biggest fucking fail.
