I am not a coder, a computer scientist or a tech worker. I work in a supervisory/managerial position in healthcare. I don't normally post to /g/AI is now literally vibe-coding me apps to do my entire job. I started uploading excel spreadsheets to Gemini, and asking it to generate reports. Today Gemini was fucking up so I tried the new Claude Opus 4.8, and not only did it nail the report on the first try, but it was like, hey you know, I can just code you an app that can do this without using up your token usage. And it did. It wrote me my own app that I have saved on my PC. And it works even faster than asking AI to do it. It generates a beautiful, perfect, accurate report in .docx format that would've taken me 3-4 hours of work in less than 3 seconds. All I have to do is give it the excel spreadsheets. I don't even need to be connected to the internet. This is an absolute game changer. I can't believe I'm living through this. If you think that AI is just a bubble that's going to go away, you're wrong. This is the future. And it's only getting better.
>>108941288>I am not a coder, a computer scientist or a tech workerif not for this I would have mistaken you for wizard hacker being amazed at automating your data formatting
>>108941288Show me a single app you have created to increase your productivity.
>>108941439I... I just did. That was the point of this thread. My picture is literally a screenshot of the app in action. The docx file it made 7 pages long and beautifully formatted.
It just made a script automatically that people have been writing for ages. It didn't pull the script out of thin air, it built it from libraries and concepts that people already used. You should have automated this before AI.
>>108941462But I don't know python.
>>108941472Ok, then you were doing busy-work for no reason because your company is retarded and almost inarguably making more money to dick around with a solved problem. You've discovered what we've been doing for decades now.
>>108941288>This is a gamechanger! What a savings!>Laid off 8 minutes later
>Relying on a blackbox .py vibecoded sloppa that you can’t even understand if you opened it to treat medical patients Imagine the horrors that will unfold
>>108941488The problem is distributing that solution. There are literally millions of workers like OP doing busy work that could easily be automated, but there simply aren't enough programmers out there to automate all that work. And now AI is stepping in to solve that problem. That actually is a game changer.

I bet your reports are also read by AI these days, because no humans would bother. So what we're really talking about isn't automation, but exposing bullshit jobs.
>>108941521The thought of a bunch of illiterates screaming at the machine to do the needful when it fails them is hilarious
>>108941288>AI can literally do my entire jobThe next step in the cycle is your employer realizing this. You should be shitting bricks
>>108941507what's funny is that this is literally proven to happen. we have tons of stories of this happening before aislop and the employer gets to keep the tooling, legally
>>108941288im sorry but if 3 entire hours of your work can be fully automated by a single shitty vibecoded python script then your job was worthless in the first placebe grateful you even have a job if what you're doing is so worthless. also don't tell anyone and pretend to be busy
>>108941448>App.>It's a fucking CLI with no front-end.>Literally a fucking Macro recording.KEK!
>>108941288>I am not a coder, a computer scientist or a tech workerThat's ok, no one on /g/ is any of these.
>>108941288AI hallucinates a lot of shit if it doesn't get actual input from a human. There is something inherently missing from the AI "brain" whenever it makes a decision on something.
>>108941288how many ways did you violate HIPAA doing this?>0bullshit
>i have a bullshit job that i can automate with AI-generated scripts, therefore there is no gigantic AI valuation bubbleastounding deduction
>>108941288>generates a beautiful, perfect, accurate reportThis is the part where you're severely wrong and I hope you retards go to jail when your garbage ends up hurting people. Since it's just worthless reports and dashboards though, you're probably ok.
I was doing this shit with Claude Code over a year agoAnti-AI/anti-LLM people are genuinely just insane, retarded populists and always were. I am a leftist but 99% of leftists are just stupid and hate growth and technology and human advancement and human flourishing and make up hundreds of insane reasons why AI is supposedly bad based on incorrect information and very poor cognitionFar-right morons also often parrot the same deranged bullshit about AI and billionaires that retarded leftists doFuture hyperintelligent ASI could pose an existential risk to humanity, but current generative AI is great and useful and valuable
>>108941488>You've discovered what we've been doing for decades nowThank you for your service.
>>108941521>treat medical patientsits handling data dumbass not performing surgery. llms are fantastic at pattern recognition.
>>108941288>typical retarded manager is btfo by ai in a skill they are not proficient in and thinks the underlings they manage are equally replaceable as their useless assthe story of ai
