i like wires. wires are reliable. i can see the wire and know exactly what it does. it's always there for me

NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN
NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU

>i can see the wire and know exactly what it does
You can see a cable
Do you know what the individual wires are doing, other than vcc and gnd?
>>
>>108942656
It's better than magic in the air, sure.
>>
>>108942685
So you don't know exactly what it does

The wire is my life. I must master the wire as I master my life. Without me, my wire is useless. Without my wire, I am useless.
>>
>>108942616
you make a good point
>>
takes up space though
>>
>>108942616
Mice are literally the only peripheral where wireless gets a pass. Stable, same latency, standard batteries, no cable to die(a mouse with a thick cable would be unusable). Everything else is better wired.
>>
>>108942616
The only time I've been mad enough at a mouse to throw it at a wall was the previous wireless mouse I had probably more than a decade ago. Been wired ever since. Life's good.
>>
Wireless is actually faster than wired because the signal takes a less direct route when it travels through a wire. That is unless you arrange the wire in a perfectly straight line and never move the device connected to it.
>>
>>108945147
i agree

>latency
go back child
>>>/v/
>>
>>108945147
Wrong. Headphones are the only thing where wireless makes sense because I can leave my desk while continuing to listen to audio, everything else is only used on the desk anyway im not going to take my mouse or keyboard with me to grab food from the kitchen for example
>>
>>108947492
Fuck wireless headphones. Terrible latency
>>
>>108947492
there's a device for listening to sounds at a distance, it's called a SPEAKER

couldn't be me.

For me, it's the SAMSERS bluetooth mouse that was found at work and nobody knew where it came from so after a few days you just took it
>>
>>108947492
Wireless headphones are literally the worst wireless product on the planet. Unstable, massive latency, unreplaceable nonstandard batteries, worse quality(especially for the mic). Even if you fix the quality, latency and stability it will still be glue-filled goyslop.
>>
Bluetooth must use good codec
>>
>>108942616
i love wires, don't even have wifi.
however the untangling...always the untangling.

i'm truly impressed how this universe can mess them up, quickly.

>>
>>108942616
What's the point of wireless shit if receivers still waste USB ports? It feels like just a way to make everything more expensive.
>>
>>108942616
When you have a wire, you're not in a knife fight for the limited number of radio channels.
>>
>>108949000
You're probably getting fucked by twisting.
If the cable insist into turning into a mess, it's because it's twisted.

I still prefer them, but I'm looking forward to a tech level when we don't need to worry about the battery dying at the worst possible time or latency and I can finally have a clean setup
even if there are only minor inconveniences, I still like to know exactly what I can count on with my tech. which is getting harder and harder, not easier, as tech evolves. but whatever

can you poorfags shut the fuck up? wireless mice and headphones were figured out years ago and are great. its not anybodies fault you do your NEET shopping at the local walshart and cant afford anything worth a damn. wiredcucks are so annoying
>>
>>108951899
All of really expensive headphones and IEMs are wired and wireless mice are dirt cheap compared to wired custom keyboards
Wireless is honestly the budget choice for poorfags
>>
>>108947492
i'm with you. i basically have my noise cancelling wireless headphones on constantly while i'm at home. love 'em

>>108942616
i'll never understand this retarded obsession with putting batteries into everything. why does my mouse need to be portable? where am i taking it? why does my keyboard that i never even move at all have to be wireless? it's the most retarded form of consumerism

>muh 0.3ms
you'll never drop signal with the receiver placed well
>>
>>108952103
I don't give a fuck about it being portable, I just hate cable resistance
>bungie
They suck
>>
>>108952129
>with the receiver placed well
i don't have to worry about any of that, i just plug the cable into my PC and it works
>>
>>108952103
there are use cases for wireless kb/m (input for home theater PC / TV quickly comes to mind), but they're silly for a computer that sits at a desk 24/7
>>
>>108952144
What if I told you
You did the same amount of work it takes to place the receiver well
>>
>>108952162
i don't have the instruments at home to measure if the receiver is placed "optimally" or not
wireless signals are inherently unreliable and just because you don't notice any jitter, noise or drop outs doesn't mean everyone should have to deal with that
especially when the solution is so simple, just use a cable
>>
>>108952181
>instruments
You're way overcomplicating it
You just need line of sight and within a couple feet
In practice that means running a cable to the back of your desk, just about how you would run a mouse cable
I'm very sensitive to jitter or drops, and I definitely notice them if the receiver is like 6 feet away behind a wall or something
>>
>>108942616
I, too, prefer wired mice. My only use for a wireless one is if a device lacks USB-A ports (like a phone/tablet or a fancy work laptop), or if my laptop is wired to a distant monitor.

No headphone jack, no buy.

it conducts electricity
