There is "1" windows, aimed toward users.
There is multiple linuxes, some aimed toward power users, some trying to apeal to basic users.

To me, windows is good enough for every basic user task.
Linux excell for power users (even more so when they tweak their distro).
But linux suck asses for basic users because it's developped by beardy nerds that prefer to add a regex interpreter in the notpad than an easy way to remember last settings.
You will have a really hard time finding a unified group of software intuitive to use for basic users. And that's why the "year of linux desktop" will never happen.

Like I was saying this is retarded regardless if it is in the command line or the GUI and the windows GUI is once more faster then your meme shit.
CTRL+H -> "change all" button.

This is a good thing. Look what popularity did to Apple and Microsoft.

Strangely my 65+ yo techlet parents have no problem using my arch laptop for their basic tasks
Also how mentally cuckes can you be to think that all of a software's worth is decied by how popular and lucrative it is, are you even human?

Don't worry Canonical and Red Hat are doing their best to add age verification to the kernel itself!

It's not a matter of lucrative, it's a matter of intuitive.
I hate Apple, but their software just one thing and do it well.
You have very limited options, so less chances of fucking it up.
Your parents probably never encounter other paradigms if they are techlets. So the only thing they know is linux. Good for them if they can do what they want with their computer, its great.
