With the price of pc parts today would it be unreasonable to buy a gaming pc used off a site like fb marketplace or source used individual parts and built a pc. I'm in the US and I'm looking for something with a 3080 or better with a am5 ryzen cpu with 32gb of ram and marketplace is pretty big in my area. Any thoughts?
Does FB Marketplace have buyer protections in place in case a seller tries to pull off a scam?
>>108944184You can report sellers and leave a bad rating but I don't think you can force a return unless you actually talk to the guy
>>108944184>>108945006Nevermind there actually is but I'm pretty sure it's for shipped items

Too soon ;_;
>>108944128just gotta play that lowball game, and list by most recent one
>>108944184Exactly thisI am even afraid of buying expensive stuff from amazon let alone fb market place, I once bought a phone, box arrived empty and amazon didn't even refund and didn't bother investigating. I pretty much don't buy anything worth over $100 online unless I absolutely cannot find in physical stores.
>>108947541I'd at least due due diligence on the seller and see there reviews like on ebay
everyone knows what they got youre probably gonna find CUSTOM GAMING PC for $600
>>108944128>would it be unreasonable to buy a gaming pc used off a site like fb marketplace or source used individual parts and built a pcWhy would that be unreasonable lolmaoAnyway if you end up going with the second option the one part you absolutely don't want to skimp out on is the PSU and luckily those prices are still the same as they were. The importance of something being new goes something like PSU>motherboard>storage>CPU>RAM>GPU>caseBut if you genuinely have to ask if buying used parts is unreasonable you're probably better off not worrying about pc building at all and just buying a PC that's already built
