I love how most of these are just a single bottom row of icons. Ive noticed it on other similar posts too. I do also do this so i find it extra amusing. is this a tism thing?
>>

it's just a normal person thing, no reason to clutter shit up

i don't believe you that you only use those apps. having to do more work to launch other apps smells like form over function.
>>
>>108945982
you shouldnt need much, the apps you frequently use can fit in dock
otherwise it takes 0.5s in rare case you need anything else, the same amount of time to locate it on a perpetually clusterfucked screen. there's no downside

I take it you've never gotten a glance at most people's phones before, because they are almost always just multiple homescreens packed with unorganized apps, regardless of the phone brand.

are they both really abandoned? local send seems to just work for what I need it to. what alternative would you suggest? I use all 3 systems (arch, macos, windows) but arch is the most important. is airdrop cross platform now with what Google's been doing?

KDE Connect hasn't been abandoned. LocalSend's last update was 2 years ago.

Always hilarious to be reminded that most people on /g/ buy spyware phones (Google, Samsung, chink shit) and the majority of them don't even custom ROM and legitimately have no issues with being tracked like the cattle they are. Most of the people in the smartphone threads legitimately care about processor speed or camera rather than privacy or freedom, and choose phones based on how well they can run the Chinese gambling games they are hopelessly addicted to.
>>
>>108949646

>>108949660
All smartphones, regardless of ecosystem, country of origin or OEM track you, regardless if you use a custom ROM or not. I was there at the scenes infancy, cooking Windows 6.1 firmware for a Samsung Omnia, flashing Cyanogenmod on a Google Nexus One and helping out in halcyon days when Chainfire gave us mobile Odin on my Galaxy S2. I've gain root access and flashed custom ROM's on HTC, Sony, Samsung, OnePlus and Google phones but now I don't bother; what's the point. I can do everything I want to my phone without root and I don't even need something like Nova Launcher to rice my phone as most of the phone manufacturers give you the software to change the look and aesthetics, e.g. Good Lock, Theme Park, etc. All I do now is debloat using ADB, getting rid of shite like Meta app manager that OEM's bake in. And if you think installing the likes of GraphmemeOS protects you from tracking on a hardware level backdoored phone sold by advertising and telemetry giant Google, then I have some bottom land to sell you.

i absolutely promise you the 3 letter agencies you fear are tracking you right now and none of your "privacy" devices are doing a damn thing apart from making you look even more retarded. You honestly thing some glownigger is going to see you've got Graphene installed and go oh damn well pack it up boys we've finally been outwitted? Here's a little thought exercise for you - your entire IT estate is secured against trackers, audio recording and so on - how about everyone else? people you live with? friends and family? You think the glowniggers arent inside their devices recording you instead?
>>
these days, i basically dont mess with anything on my phone. all visual styles are the default as it came out the box.

boring but it is what it is. i know if i was 15 again, i would know every nook and cranny in my phone - infact, back in the day, i did. i could navigate every settings menu on my symbian with my eyes closed. i even figured out how to run some very obscure home screen java applets.

the seasons of life i guess.

Of course, tracking at a hardware level. I'm sure that's very practical and convenient for google and 100% provably true. Retard posting with no proof, who buys a Xiaomi phone and spends 10 years in ADB and even afterwards china still gets all of his nudes. He actually "debloats" his phone, probably does it with his windows 11 install too.

>>108951043
You're absolutely right. Whenever I talk about having privacy I must be referring to the "3 letter agencies" instead of billion dollar ad companies and data brokers. Have you ever considered I am protecting myself against data leaks and companies scanning my files? Maybe I don't need Google/Samsung to have all my dick pics? Since the three letter agencies have obviously won I'm using amazon to order myself a Huawei phone, ensuring the US and Chinese governments both know I'm a good citizen.

It's fucking phone, if you're into something govt doesn't like just leave thing at home while doing it plus degoogled phones are half usable in western world. no amount of rooting degoogling will change the fact than even on lowest network level base station timing advance data is stored for like two weeks mandated by the law where I live. So even if you use dumbphone location data is still recorded and will be used against you if needed.
Want to be crime lord or revolutionary? You can't use phone for it.
This being said jewgle and their jeets should be called out daily for their bullshit with cracking down on rooting and sideloading.

Mainstream manufacturers will never go for it. Nope, you must keep going forward and must never imagine that we're leaving good things behind.
Non-mainstream manufacturers? The retroomers have plenty of these themes out there. I just googled for that pic, there were others that looked more or less usable or pretty.

>>
>>108955114
clicking those buttons requires moving your thumb from its resting position, which is somewhere in the middle of the screen, towards the bottom of the screen. that same motion is the swipe gesture for "back". And it works from both edges.
Not in a mood for back and forth, so just let this thought marinate.
