GNOME is like macOS but barebonesThe file manager is like a toy compared to Finder, it's like a placeholder even. GNOME needs extensions for shit macOS has working perfectly like desktop icons or tray icons, you know, basic things everyone but GNOME users enjoy and use on a daily basis since the 90s. The only, one, unique feature of GNOME over macOS is the ability to have truly dynamic desktops. macOS cannot by itself remove unused desktops automatically.
A genius looks at macOS and says: let's get rid of the dock, make a workflow so that you can only have one fullscreen app at a time like on a phone, and also replace the global app menu with a couple of hamburger and kebab menus for each app
