GNOME is like macOS but barebones
The file manager is like a toy compared to Finder, it's like a placeholder even.
GNOME needs extensions for shit macOS has working perfectly like desktop icons or tray icons, you know, basic things everyone but GNOME users enjoy and use on a daily basis since the 90s.
The only, one, unique feature of GNOME over macOS is the ability to have truly dynamic desktops. macOS cannot by itself remove unused desktops automatically.
