It may be about to really heat up, because if correct, nvidia is going to try and remove amd & intel from the equation entirely, with their own cpu, even at the local level.

So, if you wind up with nvidia just not supporting x86 cpu, it's ogre for them, unless they end their gentleman's agreement not to compete with "cuda". Why they entered that secret agreement is anyone's guess.

Nvidia have been selling a complete AI platform with their own CPUs for ages. Intel and AMD are still selling plenty of server chips.
