What kind of tech vulnerabilities are you worried about in your day to day life? My biggest concerns right now are browser addons and userscripts. At least with userscripts and FOSS extensions you can check the code, but let's be honest nobody does that for large stuff, even less for each new update. Other supply chain attacks seem to be more common, but to me they're a lesser risk compared to something that I use every day as I'm not an updooter nor a hopper. Plus, antiviruses don't work on extensions as far as I know.
>>108951566>he doesn't check simple scripts using LLMs in the year of our fucking LORD $currentYear>hurr durr it isn't perfectIt's still better than spray(ing your pants) and pray.
>>108951566I don't really give a shit as I don't really have any valuables online.Besides, they can look at the tranny porn with me that I watch on my GNU/+Linux machine with FF + uBO.
>>108951566dropping my phone two feet when it survives three to six foot drops
I'm forced to use a smartphone for online banking. But smartphones are locked down corporate slop. I fucking hate those spy devices so much
It's become second nature but I always download software from the github page / double check that I'm downloading from the official site. That's about it though, I'm not out here downloading random crap. I've made a very tight Apple tier ecosystem for myself so I highly doubt anything in my software stack is vulnerable.I am avoiding rust and vibecode as much as possible in case of a "trusting trust" situation.
>>108951621>>108951624Smartphones in general are a massive liability these days. Back in the day, if you lost your phone you just lost some phone numbers that you can get back. Now you lose Authentication Apps, Online Banking Apps, Digital Wallets, Messaging Apps filled with data, browsing data, whatever other apps you use and are logged into, on top of the expensive hardware. Even if you don't end up permanently logged out of accounts, it's still a massive headache. I've been contemplating getting a dumbphone for when I leave the house for a long time.
>>108951778shoving all your private information and ability control your money into a small device that can easily be stolen is really next level retardation and we're all forced into it. I was watching a youtube video where some guy in china was saying you can't do anything without your phone there since they're a cashless society at this point and all the payments go through mobile apps.it's just fucked up knowing your life is tied to a small piece of shit electronic gadget no matter how you look at it.
>>108951778>>108952291Still very much possible to do everything as if it's 2005 in the west. In a corporate environment you're expected to.Everyone has just been conditioned to be available 24/7 and choose the most convenient option as the default. I don't need to check my email and bank accounts outside of being home, but everyone else expects you to be able to.IDK how many grumbles I've gotten saying I'll get to something when I'm home.No one grumbles yet about digital wallets but that requires businesses to upgrade their shit so cards/cash are still the norm.
>>108951566The only difference between Apple, Google, and MS, is that Apple and Google have trained their braindead niggercattle to religiously take it up the ass without complaining.Where was all the privacy schizo screeching when Applel and Jewgle rolled out devices that records every word you say, records your face 24 hours a day, logs every step you take, tracks every breath you breathe, uploads every file you have to the iCloud? It didn't happen because OP is 100% guaranteed to be an Apple or Google niggercattle that was programmed not to screech against his masters.
>>108951778>I've been contemplating getting a dumbphone for when I leave the house for a long time.SameBut I'm also utterly fed up with touch, it's such a shitty way to navigate your device
>>108951566I have Abrowser + uBlock Origin + Violentmonkey or FireMonkey and I either read or create my own scripts and always remove update lines from scripts.
>>108952645What part of what OP said upset you so much?
>>108951566windows, which is why i don't use it
