>>108951916>SoCso everyone is priced out until they are deprecatedgreat job jenson
>>108951948>I'm a gay retard who doesn't know termsEverything is an SoC now
>>108952065maybe for you itoddlers. try being a bit nicer and i won't call you a fucking nigger. nigger.
>>108951948tthat's the fucking point. when are you people going to catch on lol
>>108952076Nothing to do with applel, you retard
>>108952082i can still buy an x86 general purpose cpu on almost any platform. you are dumb gorilla nigger
>>108952087You cannot buy a pure CPU from intel or AMD. You get IGP, whether its fused off or not, integrated southbridge, etc its all SoC,,its a catchall term at this point. Fixating on it proves you're a clueless retard.
>>108952104Is it cheaper to design a single chip and then fuse off parts for different products? I would think that with die area being so precious that they would design several different chips to minimize the amount that had to be fused off (for defects).
>>108951916So is this just going to be some meme that can't run anything?
>>108951916I hope Nvidia fails in every single endeavor they begin. I seriously hope you don't buy this and fall for another Leather jacket man rug pull.
>>108952104NTA but you're really playing semantics.AMD EYPCs are considered SoCs but would you consider such CPUs to be for the same use cases as the SoCs in laptops and portables?Of course not.Things are considered SoCs when everything is truly integrated AND also lacks the capabilities to really be expanded. It's why most x86 CPUs colloquially aren't considered SoCs even if they can run a system solo with minimal supporting components. If an ARM SoC came out with the ability for many PCIe lanes they also wouldn't be considered SoCs as no one considers the CPU as the entire system because of the potential of expandability.
>>108951916>N1gga
>>108952266>another shit eating retard who doesn't know industry terms
>>108951916Cool; Unfortunately, Windows + ARM = Shit.
>>108952104>You cannot buy a pure CPU from intel or AMD. You get IGP, whether its fused off or notNo chiplet-based AM4 CPU has one of those and AMD are still manufacturing them. They just relaunched the 5800X3D in fact.
>>108952399Look at a block diagram of the IOD and stop posting here forever
>>108952369N1 chip with a G63-R GPU.
>>108952104>>108952065>>108952435You are Chinese. Depart from this place.
>>108952593Try again, faggot. Tiananmen Square was hilarious.
>>108951916so its one of those gay gb10s but in laptop form
>>108951916>5070-tierNot bad. I'll wait for some stripped down 5060-tier version and then consider upgrading from my Ryzen 6800U laptop
>>108952612Good luck running anything on an Arm laptop
>>108951916If you can't run temple OS on it, you can't call it a PCSimple as
>>108952627I only need it to run indies and DOAXVV since I use the laptop for gaming only when I'm away from my 9800X3D/5070Ti desktopIf Windows can get their x86 translation working well enough and Nvidia's ARM-based graphics drivers work with DirectX, I'm golden
When they say "5070-tier" what they mean is it has the same number of CUDA cores. But where the RTX 5070 has a TDP of 250W and tends to use ~180-220W while gaming, the N1X will have a TDP of 80W, and ~40-45W of that is dedicated to the CPU. Even in a low power state with just a GPU load, you're still going to be limited ~50-60W at most about 20-35% of an actual desktop RTX 5070.And if you look at the internal spec documents for the N1X, the performance target was a mobile RTX 4070 running at 120W while cutting that power down to just 80W. Which it likely has done. But it is not "5070 tier" except in raw CUDA core count.
>arm
>>108952627It works fine.
>>108952662>what is a new process nodeWhy does this board even exist
