Why are screenless smart watches becoming popular? I thought the whole point of a smart watch was the screen. This thing doesn't even tell you the time
>>
The "point" is fitness tracking for fat retards who think seeing their blood o2 in an app they check once will make them start working out.

What's funny is that this product was done a lot better 10+ years back, Sony made watch straps that were fitness trackers so you could wear a real watch and have a little display on your clasp. A quick look says they shuttered the Wena line a year ago.
>>
Because people just want the tracker they don't want a watch.

I have a miband 8 that looks like op pic with an always-on display, but I have to charge it every week. With the screen off it keeps like 3 weeks. Most normies that I see with an Apple watch always stop wearing it at some point because they forgot to charge it and can't be bothered because they don't truly use it. If they need the time they look at the wall or their phone.
>>
Does it really need to be attached to the pulse? legs would bother a lot less and probably be more precise for step counting.
t. guy that every other year tries using a watch only to realize I can't ever get used to it

Pretty sure they track capillaries in your skin, so anywhere you have skin they'd be able to track. I've seen people put trackers on their bicep and ankle

I don't get this anyway. Every normiefag is counting their steps now. How does it help? It's not like it magically makes you walk more.

I would want one with blood pressure sensor for my grandma but so far all the available devices are not worth it. No display is good she is not supposed to get shocked.

Would blood pressure even work on something like this? They're super variable and you can't really record it correctly without a proper blood pressure machine, which besides being much bigger also requires you to not talk for like 5 minutes and be in a really neutral position. heart rate is much more straightforward.

It can help with motivation (since it tracks your performance over time, personal best, etc.)
It also tracks your path, so you can see how much you've walked, where, etc.

For some exercises it does track things like stroke rate (rowing), etc. and it can help with form.

Ultimately you can definitely work out without that. It does help a bit to keep you focused.

Of course there is always a guy who works out by running in jeans and work boots, etc. and does strength training by carrying tree trunks. You don't have to go to either extreme.

good try shill, but I'm not going to let google know I masturbate everyday before sleeping

On mine it can be a bracelet or you can attach it to your shoelaces.

I don't use mine for ANY of the fitness things or monitoring and they're all turned off. Purely just to read messages/notifications from my phone and see the time/date... Which almost nobody else uses these things for
>>
>>108954437
lol it can't know your pulse if you attach it to your shoelaces, silly XD

People just like to buy new shit. That's all anon, don't look for logic in it we're humans not Vulcans.

>I want a tracker on my wrist to track my data and to feed daddy Google.

but you dont wanna know your stroke rate?
>>

Wouldn't the ankle be better for that?
