DeepSeek can't even hide the fact that it's a distilled version of Claude.
>>
how's the weather in tel aviv
>>

Don't care.
They're all ChatGPT.
>>
They all mooch off each other
>>
Isn't deepseek much cheaper?
>>
The Chinese are thieves
>>
only good model is Gemma4 and Nemo
>>
>>108955036
fairly comfortable like 25 degrees
>>108955011
you can do with with any general-purpose llm given the correct context/system prompt unless you explicitly fine tune them to always say the correct company name
>>
>>108955011
>reddit filename
Models don't know their makers reliably
>>
>>108955011
I like deepseek 4 free on opencode. it makes good basic bitch code
>>
>>108955011
>ask claude what model it is in chinese
>it says its deepseek
oh no no no no
>>
>>108955011
Who gives a crap?

Based

based
gimme claude at 10% of the price Xipingpong. I have no loyalty to autocratic tech billionaires.
>>
>>108955069
yeah it's absurdly cheap. Anyone who spends money on Claude tokens when they can get that or minimax for virtually free is a genuine retard. I always kek when some turd worlder is complaining on /g/ "SAAAR I RAN OUT OF TOKENS TODAY SAAR MY CODEX IS DRY" like any actual coder on /g/ worries about running out of tokens when there's a glut in AI supply
>>
>>108955234
Proof?
>>
>>108955848
I considered doing it but I don't use AI chatbots or bullshit like this enough to even bother.
I just know that I'm not paying 20 bucks a month to get cucked, that's for sure. I don't want to be a crack addict either
>>
>>108955011
why hide it? it's basically claude at 1/20 the price while not being a single point of failure

Crypto billionaires will distill all your models and there's nothing you can do about it. Cope and seethe lil bro.
>>
>>108955011
Which is a good thing. Deepseek is pretty affordable and still very good, especially for the price, while Claude and ChatGPT are ridiculously expensive.
>>
>>108955249
>less censored
as long as you don't ask about Taiwan
>>
>>108957568
Taiwan is the reason I can't have a cheap gaming PC
they can go get fucked
>>
>>108955249
Ask it to explain the flaws of communism
>>
>>108955249
>less censored
Also guardrails are baked into the training itself now. There's no more uncensored training so if deepseek is a Claude distill it has by default all of Claude’s trained censorship
>>
>>108957568
>>108957678
I think it's funny for it to be biased and censored in a predictable way. A rabid anti-communist AI using the commie AI would be schizokino.
>>
LLMs are trained on internet text, synthetic data from llm outputs.

When you ask llm stupid questions it predicts the most likely next tokens based on the internet text.
You can train a model to give a specific answer when asked about the model, but that involves feeding it a bunch of data suggesting that as high output value and down ranking other types of answers, like the expected internet text would say which is "im chatgpt, anthropic" or whatever
>>
>>108955848
If you actually used this stuff you would know gpt is an order of magnitude better than the chink ones
>>
>>108955848
Everyone and their mothers uses AI for coding
if it's not Claude, it's something else
things have changed, buddy boyo.
>>
>>108955848
Wow the first ai related post on /g/ I've read this year that isn't terminally retarded.
>>
>>108957761
>rabid anti-communist
That's everyone with a brain who isn't evil.
>>
>>108955011
anons first day using an AI?

>just run Claude through a Chinese wrapper bro
>>
>>108959195
I've read Das Kapital, I've read Mein Kampf, I've even made the mistake of reading shit like Mao and Trotsky. All those works are on the same level of absolute dribble written by clearly mentally deficient retards with no grasp on reality. Only Lenin had one or two bright moments but those went as quickly as they came.
>>
>>108955011
Anon, current AI is basically Internet with lossy compression being used to predict next token after your prompt.
Distilling it is kinda ugly, like doing H.265->hevc, but can't be helped when source is not available. It was stolen to begin with, so where the problem?
>>
>>108960203
Why are you telling me this? I have immense respect for strong individuals like you.
>>
>>108955848
deepseek sucks.
>>
>>108955011
Why would I care that it's a distilled version of claude?
>Claude steals all of everybody's everything in order to sell it back to your employer to take your job and devalue your work
>deepseek "steals" (see: pays for) Claude's output to train it's own model
>gives the model out for free
Why should I care about the walled garden anthropic tried to create when it was just walling off a bunch of shit they stole in the first place?
>>
>>108957725
Claude is censored to hell but Deepseek will happily generate lolidom scenarios and improvise violent sexual humiliations

>NOOOO THEY CAN'T STEAL FROM OUR MODEL WHICH WAS TRAINED ON STOLEN DATA
>>
>>108961172
How do you know that?
>>
>>108961189
Don't ask that kind of question.
>>
>>108961189
Sometimes you just want to test the boundaries of the thing running on your own computer, that isn't getting all sorts of analytics done on it by other people and AIs. Just running on your local, potentially even offline, computer.
The entire world HATES this idea.
>>
>>108961219
How are you running Deepseek locally
What is your hardware.
>>
>>108961229
I have a 4090. I haven't run deepseek outside of when it was first released though, I was just messing around with it. I never asked it any kind of lewd questions. I was mostly asking it if it could answer about censored things in china like tiananmen square, which it was able to answer and the censoring seemed to be on the browser interface versions only.
