>expected price: $1500, if not moreWhat are your plans for the future now, when home computing is dead?
>>108955906just buy used parts pussy
>>108955911>just buy broken parts with no recourse
>>108955906>it's got a led y'allsimply epic, I'm buying it, just because of the led
>>108955919why would you buy broken parts?
Already have a pc I upgraded in January 2025 and I expect it to last me a decade.Maybe I buy the gabe cube 2 if it launches by 2035
>>108955932Because people usually sell parts when there's something wrong with them, or they often get broken during shipping.
>>108955919I don't know about you but in the country I live in you have the option to buy used parts via a couple of competing platforms that all give you a 48 hour grace period to make sure what you have works and you didn't get scammed, otherwise you can get a full refund and the seller downvoted to oblivion, or you go to the seller's house and you do the testing on site. Several years ago I got sold a used RAM with a failing memtest86+ (the first time in my life I've ever seen that) and I got my moneys back.
>>108955969Maybe you do. People sell parts when they upgrade to newer faster parts.
>>108955990People have families. You give your older but still good stuff to your relatives or their kids. You sell crap to strangers.
>>108955969>>108956007You'd be surprised... I've bought new things from people who just regretted their purchase so they sold the product sealed with all warranties for a 20% discount. In other cases I've bought some other expensive shit from people who can't into troubleshooting so they either throw their things to the trash or they sell it for massive discounts.
>>108956020What you save on the price you pay with your time.If you have a lot of it then it's worth going with the used parts route.
>>108956065checking for something I wanted in platforms where people sell used items costed me like 5 minutes per item. You must be horrifyingly retarded or mentally ill if checking for used items causes you to waste so much time you consider it money lost.
>>108956106>time, frustration and stress when part turns out to be broken, tracking down the seller, dealing with jeetified used parts platform consumer service because seller is dodging me, having to pack it back (seller packed it in the shittiest foam available that disintegrated itself on unpacking), order shipping, pray it wont get lost in travel and that seller will give me back my money (I already lost a large fraction of it on above anyway)vs.>low-risk purchase of a new part, they will order delivery for me if something goes wrong or often simply pay me back with no questions and no part sent back to them because they make a shitload of them anyway so why bother, also I will have 2 year warranty
>>108955906People will surely give $1500 for a Radeon 7600.
>>108956211Valve cultist will.I guarantee you they will sell out on launch, no matter the price - it's not like they're planning to make a lot of them.
>>108955906it could cost 2x more and be the worst deal ever, valve/linux cultists would still line up to buy it
>>108956171I don't know what third world shithole you live in, but from all the used shits I've ever bought and I had an issue with (rare) the only thing I needed to do was a photograph showing the reason why the part is broken and if the seller acted like a retard (rarer) the platform would step in and resolve the issue in my favor. Maybe you're buying from facebook marketplace or some shit with zero buyer/seller protection.>time, frustration and stress when part turns out to be brokenyou mentally ill lmao. Imagine letting something as insignificant as some product you bought not working properly affecting your mentals that much.
