all of the people with awkward workarounds: literally just hit the “web” toggle. or set it up so that google redirects to it. thats it. the main issue google’s AI suffers from isn’t being AI, its overconfidence. it will cite a lot of random links, even if those links have nothing to do with the thing in question. base gemini is at least somewhat better in that regard, and so is Grok, which hallucinates far less. Just use that as a search backend at this point
I can't remember the last time I needed actual search. I either visit websites by clicking links in my bookmarks or read AI slop.
