the rtx 60 series is going to be headlined by a 6090X model that has even more ram for gaymers who are also into ai slop, and it'll cost around $8K
the source is actually my ass, but i wouldn't be surprised if jensen actually does this

It will be ARM based and all your Troonix + Wangblows games will be incompatible unless you update to Windows 11 26H2 or W12

It's pretty clear that the XX90 cards are catered towards the prosumer market where the extra RAM is wanted for both AI and productivity work like Premiere Pro.
Unfortunately gamers are retarded entitled cunts and expect to be able to afford the latest and greatest every year, as if they're the most important market.

You are right about this.
Many of the people moaning about it can't afford the top-tier stuff:
I have an RTX 5080 for my gaming machine (it's overkill for most games).
I also have an RTX 5090 waterforce I have never played a single game on, ever. And it is still not enough for what I use it for.

We're not getting a 60 series, it's an all arm future

Last gen top tier stuff is perfectly capable. I have a 3090 and it runs everything I want to throw at it. Sure it's 5070 tier today, but hey, that means a 5070 is enough for most people. No matter how much people want to whine about cut down SKU's and such, these GPU's still sell well because they're good enough, and it turns out that's all that the consumer needs.
To bitch that the most advanced GPU of the current generation is "too expensive" is to be a complete and utter retard. You don't need best of the best every year, the top end from a few years ago is more than capable even today, and is still available for good prices used. Okay, the DDR4 prices went AWOL, but still, a 12900K? More than capable, even though it's a few years old. It's not the newest, shiniest toy? Cry me a river, it works.

Sounds like a marketing issue.
Keep RTX as the Gaymin cards and just bin the chips differently so the best stuff you can shoehorn into a new catergory. The gains on that particular generation will be lower for the PR chuds, but then you make something that costs half as much as an RTX 6000.

Call it the ATX 70X1 lineup and give it large volumes of slower GDDR ram like gen 6 so you can still bin the faster shit out for the gaymer tards or into the enterprise blackwells.

Oh yeah, Nvidia fucked up hard in the marketing department by branding EVERYTHING as RTX. No real distinction between consumer, prosumer and professional/enterprise "RTX" products.
