I've only used the free versions of them but ChatGPT sucks compared to Gemini. It is very argumentative for no reason. It will make up total bullshit and then argue with you about it instead of correcting it. Gemini is more compliant and less argumentative but still pretty argumentative.
Pretty sure it's the human reinforcement training phase they do - they hire illiterate thirdies to do the work and they don't know anything but they are impressed by long answers and bullet points.
