Why do luddites pretend that all of the new data center planning is happening in the shadows? I have yet to find a case of a data center being constructed where all of this information is not heavily considered and publicly available.

Nothing is "in the shadows" but it doesn't matter ultimately because this just is how america always has been (with brief intermissions of grassroots progress)

'Considered', like Musks use of illegal gas turbines after the fact?
and just how the fuck were they considered?
He *knew* there wasn't enough juice available to power one data center on that site. So he just added illegally polluting gas turbines and threw up another one along side it. Now, he's still busy polluting, and expanding yet again. While 'see no evil' 3monkeys Anthropic also operate from the site. Poisoning locals, none of whom EVER had a say in any of this. Much less had their views fucking 'considered'.
