i'm on lineage which has its own visual changes, but did google actually implement these dogshit iOS knockoff icons as stock Android? i thought it was just an ugly pixel feature (used to have a 7a) but even the same weird clock font is there

No, It doesn't LineageOS tries to follow Google's material design.
And that has been changing a lot, this is the New Material 3 Expressive, If I remember right because they keep making the name more complex rather than incrementing the number.
Either to 3.1 or 4. LineageOS has kind of the Windows issue, it has multiple versions of material design at the same time.
