Should I keep using artix or should I switch to freebsd? I just found out that freebsd supports the latest nvidia drivers and proton so it should be a drop in replacement right?

Cuck license.

post proof that you use artix

Carve out a small amount of space and dual boot FreeBSD with linux to see for yourself, I used this guide:
https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/uefi-gpt-dual-boot-how-to-install-freebsd-with-zfs-alongside-another-os-sharing-the-same-disk.75734/

There may always problems you may experience that you never anticipated, that's why you should try things out first

how does this affect bsd users though? this have no effect on freebsd or its users. even in the image you posted you can see that it hadnt effected the developer until he found out about it years later. so why should anyone but the devs care?
>>
>>108966392
>>108966991
honestly i have no idea what point you guys are trying to sell here, like does it mean that you should not use it all because the developers are major cuckolds? they're both open source for fucks sake, the difference is linux is under a copyleft license while bsd is under a permissive license, at the end of the day both are free software, which can't really agree on how free as in freedom is defined.

holy shit you beat me to it lol

Explain how a user can get cucked by the BSD license
>>
>>108967252
what difference will it make if whatever the linux default is is used? its better than it being closed source, at that point it is the user thats being cucked
>>
>>108966357
What is it about FreeBSD that interests you? Answer that before I tell you to change your OS for no apparent reason.
>>
>>108968003
Don't really like the direction linux is going in.
>>
>>108968041
That's not very specific. Also wouldn't it make more sense to find a Linux Distro that moves in the right direction? You should install a BSD if you like what it offers rather than as a protesting Red Hat move.

Because that's not the point. It's about running away from things that "don't feel right" and endlessly chasing ideas that HAVE TO feel right (except they never do). Same reason men chop their dicks off.

A project can switch to a more restrictive licence at any time which might affect your ability to keep using later versions of that software, or a fork that was relying on that codebase.

Not really, just good at patterns. In both cases the reasoning is literally the same and the underlying cause is literally autism.

i used freebsd but i used it with gnome. that's probably why i had such a shit experience with it
it was a slow and glitchy experience

what's the problem with your current setup and how would switching solve it?

does artix not?

how is FreeBSD still alive, one would think it would be relegated to same fate as Slackware by now

That said it does work better on shitty hardware than linux at least last i checked 10 years ago, im surprised its still alive, why would you not use Kubuntu or Ubuntu bro

Still active and supported? Not sure what point you're trying to make there.
>why would you not use Kubuntu or Ubuntu bro
Ah, you're trolling. Kindly fuck off.
