My friend is telling me I'm gonna get left behind if I don't use AI. I took a look at his vibe coded repo and immediately found some god object with like 150 fields, 500 line functions with an insane amount of functionality in them, and like 6 levels of nesting

Left behind how? I get where youre coming from, and I dont want to use it either. Call me slow, stubborn, spiteful, retarded, I dont care. If it takes me another two years to make a compiler, so be it. Ive done it before without AI, I can do it again.
