>>108970026we dont hate iti do think cpython's good parts could be implemented in a way that is less slow and memory-hogging.

>>108970026wouldn't that just be c++ holding everything together since all of python is based off it?

few years ago nothing used python
>>108970026I hated python when i first had to use it in college but i started dabbling in automation engineering 8 years ago, chose python 6 years ago, and have been using python ever since (as a primary language, some things still need HTML/JS or PHP, or windows/linux shell scripts)>/g/ hates itTo be fair, dealing with people who dont type hint or write docstrings make python more annoyingAlso, dealing with strict project dependencies is probably even more annoying because trying to use someone elses project usually results in fucking everything up for everything else. You have to get into the habit of creating virtual environments for everything you pull off github and that can consume a fuckton of space. One single virtual environment I have for a project whose sole purpose is to use AI to isolate a distinct voice, seperate it from an audio track where any number of people could be talking or there could be music playing in the background or game noises, and transcribes it for you and seperates it into distinct cleaned up audio tracks takes 8GB of storage. Thats mostly just from torch which in this case was 4GB aloneThats just one example because thats what im looking at atm, but i have at least a dozen other AI-related directories, each with their own virtual environment
>>108970026>holds the world togethera snot is sticky too
>>108970026I’ve been using it for 10+ years, that’s why I hate it.
