Every vibe coder thinks every other person programming with AI is using it wrong, and they're the only person on the planet using it correctly. This should give them pause, but it never does. Everyone else just happens to be pushing out slop, but THEIR commits are different.

>>108971295> vibe coder thinks every other person programming with AI is using it wrongEvery non vibe coder person also think that though.
>>108971295I do this
>>108971449I do too up-dittlely-doot
>>108971449But do you also look like Cole Phelps? And why did I instinctively know how to write that motherfuckers name?
>>108971295The real issue at hand has nothing to do with AI use. It's entirely about the amount of effort that is honestly being expended for the sake of the project.Someone could know jack-shit about coding and still leverage AI assistance to make something genuinely impressive... IF they're spending all those coding hours saved rigorously feeding their vibe code slop through multiple red-teaming AI assistants, gradually hammering the code out into something respectable. Again, it's just a matter of effort. Coder or vibe coder, hasty work is slop. I'll grant you this, though: vibe coding does make it more tempting for people to push onward rather than spend effort red-teaming their own shit.
>>108971295>Every vibe coder thinks every other person programming with AI is using it wrongNo I don't. I just buse what works for my little side projects. Stop interacting with idiots that care about GitHub stars.
>>108971295The entire premise of the vibe coder's "left behind" meme makes no sense at all in fact being a vibe coder in itself is an irrational position. Ultimately there are two scenarios: Scenario one, LLMs are/become so good that they are able to replace manual coding completely, in that case a vibe coder is nothing more than a useless intermediary between the model and the output, the difference between software A and software B becomes ultimately just a question of how many tokens are you able to afford. Scenario two, LLMs cannot replace manual coding, in which case vibe coders have deskilled and dopamine exhausted (assuming they had any skills previously) themselves to such a point that they cannot program or think without an LLM anymore meaning they will be forever trapped to the costs and limitations of an LLM. >B-but I'm just doing it for myself for funOkay, but why, you're just watching something else produce what you wanted, you're not learning anything, you're not engaging with anything you're just mindlessly watching your money burn for slop no one cares about. Required effort used to gate useless ideas, now everyone just slops useless mountains of shit that no one will ever use
>>108971295I really don't understand why everyone makes their own memory system or whatever I mean yes sure competition and diversity is good but most of this junk is just bad clones
>>108972722>Okay, but whyBecause some of us aren't miserable faggots yet enjoy our hobbies (women or even have hobbies till the game with)?
>>108972722You're expecting vibe coders to have critical thinking skills.
>>108971295I’m vibin’ every day and I’m sure I’m using it wrong>>108971762>vibe coding does make it more tempting for people to push onward rather than spend effort red-teaming their own shit.not for meif it’s wrong, and I notice, I fix itcurrently I’m annoyed because so much is wrong and I can’t write tests for all the stuff that’s wrong so I’m trying to figure out how to rewrite things so they can’t be wrong
