I have a big one but I guess it's not big enough because it does nothing. Is there another way?
>>
>>108979275
Actually it might be one that magnets don't work on
>>
>>108979224
Give it back Jamal
>>
>>108979363
I bought it. fucking tag is tiny, I didn't see it in the store. Self check out.

maybe this?
>>
>>108979374
Go back to the store with the receipt and explain the situation.
>>
>>108979417
its stolen, even if Jamal bought it, it was on the blackmarket from another Jamal
>>
>>108979396
What do I do with it doe?

>how do I steal clothing
Not technology.

put it in the hole?
>>
>>108979451
The tag is technology, genius
>>

>flushing a toilet is technology so we should have toilet threads
No.
>>
>>108979492
I put a fatass paper clip in that hole and it did nothing but wiggle it around a little bit. Grok seems to think a magnet should work on this one, but maybe the one j have isn't big enough. It's 1 inch diameter, 2/3rd inch thick. I thought it was plenty big.
>>
>>108979533
I bet there have been jap toilet threads on here
>>
>>108979539
you need both, I have seen in a clothing store how they remove it, there's a device in the table which has something like a pin with a needle for the hole you see on the image. they put it on the device and slide it

I want a solution that reflects this board's mastery and deep understanding of technology
>>
Is there a channel with videos about how to remove the different types?
>>
>>108979882
Yeah that anon just gave you exactly that.
>>
Pull it apart with pliers. Put it in a vise and compress until it breaks. Drill into it. Hammer at it with wild abandon.
>>
>>108979805
this, OP. shouldn't take much more than a decent pair of scissors.
>>
>>108979882
if its not pierced thru just pull really hard?

if pierced take a saw and try to saw that thang, you have saw for metals right(can be used even on plastic)?
>>
>>108979224
I think the lockpicking lawyer shows how, not sure tho
>>
>>108979224
Jamal....
>>
There's plenty of distance from the fabric to cut it in the middle
>>
>>108979224
There are magnetized tiny spheres inside. Simply holding a strong magnet won't do, all spheres would be drawn to the same position failing you to unlock the tag.

The tip of the special magnet is let's say N, the rest is S. Don't think you can get one.

https://vimeo.com/304707722?fl=pl&fe=cm

I think you need a stronger magnet.
>>
>>108979224
Hold the bottom part towards the magnet like in the video I posted.
>>
>>108979224

How does the store do it?
>>
>>108981646
It came out in 1996, they're under thirty
>>
Wear it like a badge. When some hoodlums cross you, you can flash it in their face. Then they will back off seeing you mean business, or because you're the fellow larcenist.
>>
>>108981560
>>108981574
Thanks bro, I was holding magnet in wrong places. Gonna try this as soon as I get up.
>>
>>108981560
what's the point of these if it only needs a magnet to remove them
>>
>>108983384
Didn't work, magnet probably not big enough
>>108983661
You need a big ass magnet. I bought the biggest one in stock in an online shop and still too small.
2 inch diameter seems to be the minimum.
>>
>>108979374
it happened twice to me. why won't those fuckers just stop me when I am leaving through the gate? are they really so cheap they won't even use real tags?
>>
maybe you could make an electromagnet. these fuckers can be crazy strong.
>>
>>108984661
What if I electro magneted my magnet?
Could I make it more magnety?
>>
>>108984846
No it would cause resonance cascade.
>>
>>108979224
give it back tyrone

>>108984846
yes
there are even magnets that are magnetized and demagnetized by short bursts of a powerful electromagnet to switch the magnet on or off
>>
>>108979224
OP here. I went back to the shop and the young wagie there removed it.
For future reference you need a big ass magnet to remove these things. Probable 2-3 inch diameter minimum. I wanted to study the one on the desk but it didn't want the wagie to notice.

I saw a tv show where they put aluminum foil around the tags and then smashed them with hammers. You put the aluminum foil around it because there's ink inside there I guess.

>>

Smash it with a rock.
>>
>>108983661
The kind of person who would usually steal clothes probably doesn't own a bigass magnet, that's if they even think to look up how to remove them.
It just has to be enough deterrence to stop casual theft, and cheap enough to be effectively disposable.
