transparent powersupply why this hasnt been a thing for quite some time already?https://www.io-tech.fi/uutinen/corsairilta-nahtiin-computex-2026-messuilla-iso-kattaus-uutuustuotteita-pelaajille/hx shift crystal is transparent plastic power supply but the components inside are the usualit is 1000 watt power supply and its the biggest news corsair has to offerother stuff is a large amount of slightly different transparent cases that are equipped with RGB fansbut the power supply is the real crown jewel here because almost nobody has made transparent supplieswe dont know if the power supply is good but corsair has usually made decent power supplies
>>108980721second most retarded thing after glass cases. i'm sure there's army of halfwits waiting to eat this shit up.
>>108980721It looks neat
>>108980721>why this hasnt been a thing for quite some time already?I swear you niggers get more and more retarded with time
>>108980761post your transparent powersupplies
>>108980753i'm sure it accumulates heat like a motherfucker too, but hey - as long as it induces cringe i guess it's worth it
Usecase? Can't imagine ppl stare at their PSU.
>>108980787well you can see it through your transparent case
>>108980721>"crystal" power supply>is not made of crystal
>>108980721it's clearly not for me
>>108980771Why would it? Did you think they're passively cooled?
>>108980787Set a cultural trend in motion that leads to Crystal Pepsi being sold again.
>>108980721Cool but I have a PSU shroud in my case
>>108980721>is transparent plastic power supplygay
>>108980738Halfwit reporting!
>>108980721What does FCC think about this total lack of EMI shielding? The cases were metal all around for a reason.
>>108984091dont spoil the fun
hope seasonic releases one because they're the only PSU i buy.
>>108984091Don't they couple back into your house's AC wiring anyway?
>>108984367Not with proper filtering components.
>>108980721because acrylic glass doesn't block EMI so it's harder to design
>>108980721BING BING WAHOOOOOOOOOOO!
>>108980721>power crystalsCorsair has solved free energy
>>108981362highly doubt that. i assume that it's made from acrylic, pretty thick at that. which will work like thermal storage. while psu doesn't run very hot it has really large surface. to give an example, in my pc i removed psu from the case (it lies on the floor behind it) and that alone lowered temp inside the case by ~7°C. similarly the backplate on my 3080 was plastic too, taking it off lowered temps on it by ~5°C. so plastic isn't great when it comes to managing your thermals.
>>108984091>>108987813Top, bottom and back are metal, they have PCBs covering all the other sides minus the AC input filter side
>trans >parent >plastic aka endocrine disruptor>see through aka panopticonlets break that down: the plastic casing gets heated up to high temperatures of sustained periods of time while powering your array of 5090s used to generate CSAM which in turn floods the air in your apartment with an abundance of microplastics turning you gay and trans while you're being monitored by Palantir
