I'm very open minded, I was fine with social media bullshit, I could ignore it, I was fine with youtube adding that shorts bullshit, I could ignore it, but now, EVERYTHING has AI, and I can't ignore it because its EVERYWHERE

It's not useful
It doesn't have correct information
It bloats everything and makes me trying to do what I actually want to do take longer because its in the way
It's ugly
It's fucking LAME

DELETE IT, I WANT TO GO BACK TO 2018 OR FUCKING 2021 EVEN
>>
The people pushing it are increasingly nervous companies trying to justify the massive amounts of money they spent on it.
The people defending said course for the technology are gooners and thirdies.

The pope was in the right. This technology belongs in the hands of the many rather than the few. Local AI running on affordable power-efficient hardware should be the standard strived for. Not this token-maxxing wasteful slop fest.
>>
>>108983891
Wrong.
AI isn't the problem; it's a great technology.
The people who use it are the problem.
It amplifies all the attention-maxxing garbage that people produce.
Rolling back AI won't change anything. Genociding half of humanity and oppressing the rest through terror would bring us paradise.
Let's test it in India; you'll see the difference.

I still can't believe we just got this in the span of 6 years, just like that. I was not expecting this to happen in my lifetime

Works fine for me. You're just bad a prompt engineering.

I love how AI bares the fundamental deficiencies of autistic people. So far they did well because their obsession with rules helps them with computer programming languages, mostly because they are such a poor excuse for a language.

But the second we move to programming computers with natural language the nerds start lagging behind humanities chads who actually know how to express themselves. Fuck, even an HR specialist will be better at programming computers now that we have LLM's. I hope you enjoyed your moment in the sun, autists, because it is setting for you now. Enjoy being the village idiot again.
>>
AI has made me 1000% more efficient and productive at my job. That’s because it helps me research and also document my work despite the fact that I am dyslexic and possibly lazy. I get more done in less time. The downside is that the company is using AI to monitor productivity and they are increasing our workload and decreasing staff
>>

You're an illiterate nigger and you expect us to believe you program anything of value?

I will point you back to Dijkstra >>108983932
Natural language is ill-fitted to programming computers
>>
>>108984186
Dijkstra also said you're supposed to study mathematics for five years before you're allowed to start programming computers. You know what, Dijkstra? FUCK YOU. I can type my instructions for the computer, in my own words, without any of your dumb x, y bullshit, and the machine DOES IT now. Imagine quoting an obsolete elitist faggot from 50 years ago LMAO.
>>
>>108984191
>Dijkstra also said you're supposed to study mathematics for five years before you're allowed to start programming computers
Based desu. My mathematical thinking developed from my math degree and all my CS theory has helped me immensely. It's also helped me in debate. I'm simply a better logician.
>I can type my instructions for the computer, in my own words, without any of your dumb x, y bullshit, and the machine DOES IT now.
This is what an AI generated video game looks like. I tried to set up my friend's vibe coded project. At first it wouldn't even compile. Then I fixed the CMake error and it literally crashed my computer trying to compile.

This is what a video game "programmed" in natural language looks like anon.

What would be the issue if it's in the hands of people who want it and only the people who want it? It'd still be too expensive for thirdies to flood the internet with it, hobbyists like me can still have our kicks, and it wouldn't effect you because it's running on local systems.
>>
>>108984297
Because capitalism is not going to allow that ever
>>
>>108984333
And neither will it allow no AI at all. So what's the point?
Besides market forces right now are kind of working towards local models anyways since token prices are going up, and it's clearly not profitable to use the frontier models since they're so big, bloated, and inefficient power wise.
>>
>>108983891
Who cares about that shit? It makes computer parts unbuyable, that's the real problem here.

A statement made exclusively by the half that would immediately be culled.

that life sucks and is getting worse every day unless a revolution happens
>>
>>108983891
Me too anon, me too. I had to stop using LLM's for computer questions at all because I found that a precise web search for obscure technical problems is always quicker than trying to debug anything with an LLM, despite the state of search being what it is now. They always seem to generate several obviously unhelpful solutions, then a couple of plausible ones that you have to spend some time trying out but pretty much always end up not working at all. It's almost always quicker for me to just find the result the LLM is stealing its information from on my own and see all of the context and solve the problem that way.
Add to that the default Google replacing many of its useful little utilities like timezone conversion or word dictionary lookup with their "AI Overview", which are both completely pointless use cases for an LLM, or generating completely meaningless garbage for anything you query just confusing you with words. Luckily it's possible to hide all of that stuff, but it's still annoying that you have hide it on every new device you use.
All in all, it is certainly annoying how the sacredness of human language has been completely destroyed in the past couple of years. Generated images/videos are still relatively easy to notice upon closer inspection, but when you have to deal with stuff like YouTubers either directly copy pasting sentences from ChatGPT into their video scripts or doing """research""" with an LLM and passing it as their own deep knowledge, or having to *constantly* discern whether a certain article or book was vibe written or not the whole situation just gets so stupid. It used to be that if you had a lot of words on a page it was at least definitely written by a human, now it's all mixed with LLM output and you can't really do anything about it.
>>
>>108984588
Fully agree with you, its depressing, sometimes im watching a video and halfway through i just notice "fuckkk this script was writen by AI"

>>
>>108983891
It's not going anywhere. It's only going to get better. I don't like it either, but nothing we can do. It's already made a lot of jobs meaningless. Imagine making layout changes to a react app or something, why the fuck would you need a junior frontend dev where Claude does it for you? You don't need jobs like that anymore, and it's only getting started on that front.
>>
>>108986362
>It's only going to get better.
I really have not seen a single improvement other than in the artistic department which i dont care, it keeps giving shit replies to searches because its not actually intelligent its just regurgitating bullshit hoping its true, and it bloats every single software and website, i need that shit gone

Yesterday I reinstalled FL Studio, a shitty daw that i use to make garbage music and even that now has an ai assistant chatbot baked into the program, that you -to my knowledge- can’t remove.

Scumbags and grifters will always exist and it is literally impossible to get rid of them. Soviets tried to get rid of them and they failed and corrupted the system from within immediately. Nazis tried it and they still failed because the people needing to be exterminated were among the nazis themselves. Capitalism works because it puts these greedy swindling scumbags against eachother and grows economy on their economic battles, how every this also stopped working when they realised they can move the inefficient real economy into China and just get rich off of speculation, debt and fraud.
>>
>>108986748
Yes, and 99% of AI users who use it outside of work are degenerate troglodytes that make the world worse thanks to AI amplifying their annoyingness.

AI is fantastic for coding, it allowed me to start coding without spending an ounce of my time on learning how to code

beyond that, it can only be decent if it gives specific answers researched, otherwise it can be a good conversationalist, i would not apply it to anything else

>>108983932
>That's exactly what a programming language is you retard.
right, but you dont have to be a loser spending time effort and money on CS degree, you can just start coding. If you are low IQ nothing is going to help. I have high IQ but ADHD so this is a huge blessing for me
