im a brokefag with no money, decided to suck a dick for a cheap hard drive with 4000 bad sectors, i plan to fill it with torrented gay porn and random slop.so as far as my experience with sloppy drives goes, btrfs seems to be the most easygoing one, as it will continue to operate silently avoiding the issues, meanwhile ext4 will trigger readonly and require fsck until it runs to the next badblocks, and XFS literally triggers a kernel panic.i have not had a very indeavorous dive with working around messed up drives, so i was wonder if any of you anons could enlighten me
I hope you didn't pay more than 5 $ for a 24TB drive if it has bad sectors.

>>108985567if the bad blocks are staying where they are then either of these filesystems should be ok after avoiding them.if they're not there's no point, you need to put the data on a new drive before you even fsck.
>>108985567how did it taste?
>>108985567Bad sectors might be grouped around the same area on the disk.Through concentrated autism you can just make two partitions, one before and one after that area.
>>108985567have you tried NTFS
