>>108993478I paid $900 for my oled monitor I am going to make my pixels black!
>>108993478I'm with you but light mode in a dim room is pretty rough.
>>108993478light mode is impractical and has no benefitsdark chads stay winning
>>108993478What you posted does not really qualify as "light mode". Its closer to classic UI.Light mode did not exist until recently. Light mode embodies modern UI design, which is a vague sea of formless white and off white that lacks any contrast.classic UI > dark mode >>>>>>>>>> light mode
>>108996201>Light mode embodies modern UI designI hate how they're always trying to "modernize" everything. They even went back and redid all the books in light mode. Fucking bastards.
>>108995089No it's not. Dark more just hurts youe eyes morez. you are brainwashed.
>>108996201>Light mode did not exist until recentlyDumb chud, before dark mode existed there was no light mode because everything was light mode
>>108993595Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well
>>108996289People weren't able to read books until recently. Dark mode on e-readers saved literacy.
>>108993478I'm glad I can cause you physical pain without even trying.I can't imagine what it must be like to be so emotionally weak and fragile.
There's just no other way. Dark mode at all times. Sorry.
>>108993478why does it matter though
>>108993595You're forced to make them black otherwise you'd get a burn in lol
>>108993478Reporting in, light means right
>>108993478light mode is for employed motherfuckers. /g/ wouldn't get it.>>108995160this except the opposite
light mode if there is too much light in the room, but i have to admit i became a weak eye S 0 Y boy who tends to dim lights and use blackd mode none stop
No one tell the Zoomers that computers were originally all dark mode.
>>108999178>"*oomer"-using retardComputers were literally operated via white paper with punch-cards or teletype systems, and light mode gui is almost as old as shitty dark monochrome terminals. Dark mode succeeded then because it was cheap.
>>108993478trannies like dark modechuds like light modechads dont spend time thinking about this

>>108993478At work. Usually "white mode" is good in normal light conditions. That is standard, not some "mode".What you call "dark mode" is something unemployed people using during the night.
>>108993478I find the in-between: black or white text on *gray* to be easier on the eyes for long sessions at the computer. When I use dark mode and then look away from the screen, I get afterimages. The same thing happens on some overly bright light themes. With a gray background, no afterimages.Pic related.
>>108999256>Dark mode succeeded then because it was cheap.Changing the text & background color doesn't cost anything. Dark backgrounds were used because it made no sense (and still doesn't) to have the screen blast your eyes with light from background areas that don't contain any information anyway. Light mode only started becoming popular later on when computers started getting more and more popular with complex document editing and writing, then it became desirable to have WYSIWYG editor programs which replicated the look of the document printed on paper as accurately as possible. It was popular / standard for a while and then "light mode" started to decline again, because it still fundamentally makes no sense for pure computer UIs. A light-emitting computer screen is not a piece of paper.
>>108996372I like having an LCD monitor and OLED TV.Don't have to worry about burn-in when using my PC & watching/playing things on the OLED is always a special occasion.
>>108993478Light mode just looks right to me. I know it's better for your eyes but I just don't like dark mode.
as a white person, my eyes do not require heckin dracula theme dark mode. default for a reason baby.
>>108993478I use dark mode because I have eye floaters and can't see them with a dark background. Bright backgrounds make me go mad.
>>108999178Not even remotely all of them.Yes, basic terminals were green/amber/white on black, but on computers that could do text attributes, a lot of programs used white, grey or blue as background.
>>109001877>eye floatersI had to google that, sucks bro
>>108993478>Watch me to piss whole /g/I have Lenovo Thinkpad T470 and i have Windows LTSC 10 installed there.
i have eye floaters so dark mode is necessary
