Yeah, fixing AI shitcode is even worse than fixing some actual human shitcode. If you let AI roam free, there's absolutely no logic to how it structures things - it breaks functions/methods up just because, not based on some actual meaning. The only sensible usage for AI if you want to retain you understanding of the codebase is not writing code, but reviewing it for edge cases, as quick doc/reference and also for planning/researching of how to do a certain thing without actually writing code. Very occasionally you can let it rewrite a method pr maybe write a new one, but you still need to review it and make sure there's no obvious slop inside.Letting AI write your project is unsustainable, it will get more complex and insane with every commit and you will need more and more tokens/requests to do anything with it.
